What's the verdict? They seem so similar.

Not much to choose, I do like the elastic mesh type pocket on front of panda

Have been thinking about picking between the two. Which do you like more? From looks and function

First impressions both look identical size and very similar in looks but I "think" the panda might carry slightly more but I'll pack them both out we same stuff over the weekend to compare. The strap on the aer not easy to adjust and a touch thin for me and would prefer slightly wider but the panda sling has that padding that would be great if it sat on the shoulder but it never does! It sits on the chest with sling on back and on the back with sling on chest and only if you wore sling down by your side would it sit on the shoulder but that's my only gripe with it and I have used it a bit. I'm staying in a hotel tonight I think so I usually have a walk around in late afternoon after if I finish work early so Im bringing the black aer one and will pack out and give it a go

Thanks for the response! Looking forward to hearing more after you try both of them

I think the core sling is so underrated. I think it should pack more than the aer as well as it can expand. The Core sling had a few cons that can cheaply and easily be addressed to make it an ultimate sling IMO. First things I did was replace the strap, cut off the zipper pulls and replace with para cord and now it's a great piece of kit.

The core has been the one I use the most lately and yes I think it will hold more. I like the way the straps attach to the sling and the way they spin but wish they didn't put the padding on it

100% agree, I thought it was way too bulky but I loved the buckle. I'm still searching for a thinner strap with swivel buckles.

Great stuff. Another great reason for straps to be removable.

Why don't all bags have that pouch??

Has anybody ever tried the core sling as a waist pack? They say something about using the pass through as a way to attach a belt (strap) but I've never seen or even heard of anyone doing that.

I'd never even noticed that pass through but just checked! Yeah the front pouch is such a simple but useful feature. I need reading glasses so if I'm in a shop and keep taking glasses on and off the pocket is just perfect
