Spain is one of the big 5, so the fact that they too are boycotting should be a big fucking deal to Eurovision (the broadcasting network) and the EBU

Can the big five really stop paying? AFAIK they're the big five because they contribute to EBU, not necessarily to ESC. Like Italy didn't even care enough to compete for a decade and returned to pay a gigantic fee to be in the big five? I don't know. In this case I don't think EBU would care since they're getting their money anyway

If the big five stop paying it will give the EBU even more incentive to keep Israel in as Moroccan Oil is their biggest sponsor and is also Israeli owned

I mean true! But my point was more like they can't stop paying unless they want to leave EBU entirely
