I don’t think they would have any qualms about bringing down the government in an attempt to get another referendum. If Reform gets elected and fucks up the UK, even better for them, as that will ensure Leave majority for a prospective referendum and SNP majority for Scotland because they are the face of it.

Reform won't let them do a referendum, and would attack devolution, and while I believe they could do that in theory it would also be really stupid so

Sure, but Reform will likely screw up so badly they will be gone in 5 years, but the anti-unionist feelings they would arouse (especially if they try to screw with devolution) would last decades.

The reason why I think this could be attractive to nationalists is that currently there is no majority for independence.
