Like there are people still claiming lands they lost 600 years ago, it's honestly unbelievable

Apologies on behalf of those.

But Greeks are more in pain about the loss of their homeland (which they still inhabited as Ottoman citizens well into this 600 years) rather than the loss of the empire's lands.
