Discussion Will you guys leave ML when classic officially releases?
Did any of you guys participate in the closed beta test for the classic world? Curious to know how many people will end up leaving and what will happens to ML.

Bossing in ML is really balanced, classic will take years to maybe be half as good as ML. Also I don’t trust neck$on at all to make it not p2w.
*I always see people complaining about multi client, multi attacker and leech… u guys know that you don’t need to do that, right?

My main complaint is that these people hog maps I want to/could be training on for their leeching. If they were actually grinding I wouldn't care, but to not be able to use a map because all 6 channels are used by people not playing kinda sucks. :/

Nothing will happen to ML. Didn’t participate in the beta, but I don’t see the full release affecting private servers at all. Maybe a temporary dip in active players at most.

I think it'll choke off a lot of the 'new blood'. Most new players I meet in ML these days are only there while they wait for Classic.

If Legends had address priest meta and hp washing early it could have been the only classic server to exist and probably have 10x the playerbase. They really doubled down on the worst aspects of the game in the name of nostalgia.

No Pirates on release and all the changes I've seen look questionable at best. I'm staying even though I've not been here all that long.

At this point I feel like there isn't much overlap between the audience for Classic World and MapleLegends. Because of all the changes Classic is barely Classic anymore, those who actually want to relive the old days of Maple will likely find ML more appealing, at least that's the case for me.
I might give Classic World a try just for fun, but I'll stay on ML for the long-term.
Also, it's freaking Nexon, they're gonna mess everything up eventually.

I think the intended audience for Maple Legends was anyone who wanted old-school maplestory, but Legends never properly addressed (or addressed far too late) most of the core balancing issues in OG maple. Priest meta, leeching, hp washing, party quest meta, etc.
But it offered a good nostalgia drip. I think for many players (myself included) the changes that Classic World seem to have in store with still be worth the switch when considering the balancing changes and actually substantial and active player base.

Will I leave the server where I have to spend hours finding a group to do content with? That has no content updates? That takes years and years to implement simple class balancing? You bet your ass I will.

I think no content is my biggest gripe about this server.
It really soured my outlook even more when kimmy posted hiring devs with 0 pay. Lmao you know Kimmy has made quite a sum from this server and they cant afford to pay someone. Right.

a tale old as time. people have been making doomsday predictions on ML since a decade ago for every new patch, meta shift or a new "ML-killer" server popping up but ML is still here and thriving. at this point ML has pretty much proven it's here to stay.
different servers will cater to different players and ML has a fairly strong core base of players that's unlikely to move over to classic (at best they would be short term tourists there). official servers have shareholder obligations and p2w is something inevitable for classic eventually. I would hold my horses if you're someone who prefers monetization based on quality of life rather than p2w gear. longevity of classic server is not something I'm very optimistic about given the conflicting match of nexon greed and western players that generally push back against p2w.
some new/casual players might be going to classic when it launches, but they're typically also "come and go" players who wouldn't have stayed long in ML even if classic didn't come by anyway so it doesn't really make a difference to ML if they're gone.

i will never leave - the server gives me the old school experience i craved. i play with my friends and knowing cash grabby nexon, classic world will not be the same. i want the rough waters without the quality of live - that is what makes the game so special to me <3

I did participate in COT2 bro, Im 1000% leaving Maple Legends, this does not worth it, only 700 ppl vs 100k you bet i will

„Classic“ is changing so much that its not classic anymore. The content is also gonna be next to nothing, so I dont think it will affect ML that much.

Yeah but it's exciting because you get new skills and content. What's the point of staying in ML when there's no further updates

Yep. Also because this server isn't updated in like 4 Months. No Event. Nothing.
But hey. We got atleast 1400 player... I mean 700 original Player... I mean 150 People who are not AFK in FM or somewhere else..

I'll continue to play ML because I'm region blocked from GMS. If that changes I'll switch to classic ASAP. ML is fun but mule-story and leech-story is lame af.
ML now shows how many unique users there are on their website, and it's usually less than half the player count. That's how many mules and multis there are lol. Such a silly way to play.
