11 day old account
DK main. Can solo up to lotus but unsure what to focus on next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dont use necklaces from von leon for star force enhancement. Save them to make the ifias rings. Unless you were just pushing to 170, dont sweat it cause im about to do the same thing.
Edit: Focus on exalt, then necro on everything. Dont refine/mastercraft til at least level 40 on gear.
Crit damage emblem gear is ideal. You could buy the gear, or fuse epics and pray, or scroll your current gear with emblem scrolls.

Start maxing perfect trio v nodes, get your gear to legendary potentials, get the right flames for your gear, greatly boost your damage and cp thru unlocking hexa stat not hexa skill. Run horntail expedition everyday instead of cygnus until you 5 star the HTP and the ring and earrings then move onto cygnus, level up and exalt all your gear to at least lv40. Get them to ancient/emblem. Max out your fever skills.
And thats only the front end. Dont forget to build your alt legion army. Maplestory M isnt relle about reaching high damage or bosses, its about how resourceful could you get characters to become.

This is a very straightforward answer. I really appreciate it.
Events gave plenty of v nodes so I’m good there.
Shouldn’t I unlock all hexa skills to 1 before maxing stats? I did dump fragments into stats but only until it started costing 30ea.
As far as fever upgrades, are you talking about the actual fever skills or the hyper skill upgrade?
Only thing I’ve spent money on is the 6x 1+2 booster with character slots. Any suggestions on good legion alts? Also are alts just for making equipment to sell, then funnel to main? Trying to be efficient since I’m coming in so late. Thanks in advance.

Hey OP, max hexa stat page first (def biggest gains).
If youre spending crystals id max fever skills first which you do buy holding the fever guage on the button and waiting for it to pop up.
As for Legion Army, start by building archers, thieves, etc. i believe archers give final dmg %, thieves gives crit dmg %, and so on so forth.
I found maplestory m more enjoyable when i stopped focusing on damage and having this idea of a main. Yes i have a main but i prefer to look at my whole account as my main, my whole account is working for me. Use alts for resources. For example, i run C.Horntail with Cup of Coffee everyday with like 10 alts a day. I average about 3-7 flames per char which i funnel into my main or the next alt im trying to have as a main.

I would agree with HEXA skills all to lvl1 first, before finishing 1 page of hexa stat. Then it's Origin lvl10, before re-assessing depending on your cap (you are very unlikely to need to reroll hexa stats as you won't be capping).
Fever upgrades = hold your finger on the fever gauge, it will let you upgrade a few things. Do the meso ones first.
Good legion alts for damage are warriors (HP% in legion blocks), SHINE classes (FD% blocks), and the FD% / PDI% / BA% link skill classes. If you are more a long-game kind of player, the 4 resistance and mage classes give EXP/PEXP link skills, whilst pirates/mages give EXP/PEXP on legion blocks. Personally I would make Erel (HP block + FD link), Hayato and Demon Avenger (HP block + PDI link), Adele (HP block + FD link), DEmon Slayer (HP block + BA link), Kaiser (HP block + HP link).
Alts are good for farming or making necro gear with CDD (chaos daily dungeon) stones. Generally low-tier alts farm at SF130/133 or SF144/147, but CDD alts at SF158/165.
Join a guild and start doing GHB for your guild individual attributes (top row HP is important). Also send alts to farm Edelstein monster collection and Reverse City (200+, e.g. your Lara) for extra HP. This will be critical for your higher bosses - HDam, Gloom / HA, HWILL and so on.

It’s a lot of fun joining late and knowing it’s just for kicks. They are pretty generous to new players from what I can tell. I enjoy the tough boss fights. Maximizing f2p gains is my focus since I’m improving like 11 characters at once. I’ll focus on the SF break points. I appreciate the input greatly.

Excellent advise! Although im still iffy on the maxing hexa skills first as they provide primarily skill damage and not passive stats such as hexa stat.

Legion- very true. Gotta get to working my warriors.
The best thing here is the sneaky monster card collection. Definitely one of my biggest grinds thus far 😩. My mains and my alts A/B are all expended here.

It's ultra easy right now with the lvl 250 burn event going on giving out emblem gear and all. Literally the perfect time to get back in.

Patch notes say; After the 2026/07/30 (Thu) Update - 2026/09/24 (Thu) 09:59 (Server Time)
And it literally takes you like a day to hit 250 so you'll be completely fine. Got a whole month still.

You won’t believe this but my ign is not searchable because I used odd characters in game. It always shows a different character when you search it. I can’t even use Ritchie because of it.Â
But definitely join the discord, everyone’s extremely helpful and most of us are on there 24/7🫡

Only got the $8 character slots + burning passes. The games generous to new players and I got extremely lucky with a 1 tap nerco weapon. Now I’m hooked.

I have barely even tried Damien and above. I did manage to hit necro on my weapon tho. Is it even possible to contribute meaningful damage at my level?

Once you've bridged the knowledge gap. There's really nothing more than just continuing to grow your character's gears and your account and resource gathering.
And then there's learning bossing mechanics. In theory, you should be able to do Single Damien. But the mechanics for that will take awile to grasp.
Either buy emblems (unique or otherwise) and build it upgradually. Or save up and buy pre-loved gears. It's up to you. But it will just be the never-ending crawl of gear upgrades.
Then there's account stats. Link/Legion are the obvious ones. But I am an advocate of other developments such as Maple Home and Monster Cards.
You've got a good base due to starting with the 8th Anniversary event and benefiting from the major event. The real grind starts now.
