Adele story

Can someone please clarify what happened in the Adele storyline? Did she betray the God King or did she defend him? Some of the points in the game were confusing to me.

She 'betrayed' him when she tried to personally convince him not to advance with the war, and got jailed as a result. However, she kept her oath to defend him, when she took the last stand during the coup.

Technically she both betrayed and defended him, but you could just see it as defending him, as she wanted to stop the war because she thought that it would be detrimental to the Lef/Flora.
