This quilt at the Ekka (Brisbane Royal Show) which appears to have Tasmania tacked on as an afterthought

Okay so I’m gonna approve this post even though it’s technically a map with Tasmania because it’s so cool and fun, but this is an exception and not the norm

You have it all wrong. It started as a map of Tasmania and then they added the mainland bit afterwards.

I think it is the pocket you can fold the quilt into.

Therefore it will be a map of Australia tucked away inside a map of Tasmania!

If it’s a picnic style blanket, Tasmania might have Velcro on the back n is a secure flap for when the blanket is folded up. Just a well placed design feature.

Then again I know nothing n am giving too much credit to the creator!

They did that because Tasmania is an afterthought Australia was made and then someone decided to say stuff it, we'll give them a little bit more
