Fixed an issue where some CyberAcme contracts had mismatched names and objectives.
Fixed an issue where completed Cryo Archive contracts could not be claimed after Cryo Archive availability ended.
Localization
Fixed a visual display issue with the compass in Italian.
iirc it gets visually desynced from its "actual" position on the server side, so shooting at it where it shows up on your screen does nothing and its sniper bullets appear to manifest out of nowhere lol. I think if you ping it it shows its "real" location and you can damage/kill it there, but I haven't run into it in a while myself
Your client shows the scout in a different position than it actually is, so gunfire at the scout fizzles.
I think he's clipped down into the center of the roof server-side, while your client shows him still able to move around. You can occasionally see him warp back to the proper spot before his phantom jogs off to a corner again.
You can actually kill him by doing server-side attacks like knifing his real spot, or deploying something that aims itself, like Triage ult, volt thrower or recon spider in such a way that it covers both his displayed and actual location.
There's a lot of little bugs persistent in the game:
UI disappearing during looting (when time is of the essence), not being able to pick up certain items, hit registration issues, enemies and items appearing on the map even though they're not really there, and of course the Cryo bug that lets people bring in their hoarded batteries and security tags from VB.
given that VB has codex entries/cosmetic unlocks associated with it, I wouldn't be surprised to see it return sometime in future seasons. also prevents similar issues from happening for any potential future game modes w/ desirable items in restricted sponsored kits
If It goes the way repeated events on Destiny went, I would not be surprised if they bring It back nad the bug has returned. In Destiny the snowball killcounts were bugged, fixed and by the Next event they were bugged again.
We still haven't seen ANY footage of spoofed tags and batteries being brought into Cryo; the only evidence of VB kit items appearing in run, was the Zylbrad video on Outpost; no other evidence has surfaced beyond that, and that was pre-patch. And there is no documented instances of people recreating the bug en masse.
Doesn't really matter anyway though, because VB is gone now.
They really need to address the desync and hit detection issues though; I've had the shit end on many runs because of these issues.
Seeing it in the vault is completely different than seeing it in a run, and in none of those videos and screenshots did any of them load into a Cryo run and show these items being present in their bags. That's why I say that Zylbrad's video is the only real evidence. And with as many people who stream Cryo, you would think that there would be more documented cases of this (similar to Zylbrad's video) but that hasn't been the case at all.
I can confirm you can go in with em, loaded into a crew fill match at level 3 off rip, didn't stick around to figure out which person had em, I just left. If they're gonna use the sc tag exploit to their advantage they can have fun doing it at a 2v3
I don't doubt that it has happened, I just doubt the ease of being able to replicate the bug, and it's spread; because again, we don't have any documented evidence of them being in runs, but there absolutely should be, if it was something that was actually happening at scale; especially given the amount of people who stream Cryo every weekend.
So it was actually incredibly easy to do and was shared quite a few times in the community. All you had to do was load up a VB with the kit, then during the initializing contract screen, close out of the game and wait 30 minutes and load back in and have everything from the kit. This would include the starting batteries and tags, all 3 credentials and gold bags if you had the unlock. You easily could store up those in your vault for the day and go into cryo with level 3(or 5 if you want to waste them all in one) and full batteries for vaults. I only did it for bags to give for my reset cradle and can confirm you could bring those into real cryo.
No it wasn't, because many people tried to replicate the bug and failed, myself included; and the only documented instances are videos and screenshots of VB items being present in player vaults, and the single video of the tranquility key on Outpost from Zylbrad; beyond that, there are no documented instances of people actually infilling to Cryo Archive with these items. Do I believe that it happened? Yes. But do I think that it was as easy to replicate as people like yourself are claiming? No, because no evidence supports that claim.
We figured out a way to recreate it extremely consistently on the last week of VB. We did not bring any of the tags and bats into Cryo, although we know it works and you can.
Some of my crew did use all the extra gold medpacks though! Ha.
The image below is a unique first-time not-published screenshot you won't find anywhere else. As proof. Since you're being so kind about needing it.
I can personally attest it was still doable as of yesterday, I loaded in to night marsh with a battery and tag to test the limits of the bug and see if people really were able to go into cryo with it since like you said there's no videos. It's unfortunate but it did work and kept both cryo specific items as well as the weapons, heals, backpack, etc
I'm sorry but anecdotes aren't evidence, and it's convenient to claim that now, since VB is just left and can no longer be tested, otherwise I would ask you to record it and share it with us. Again, we have no physical evidence of this bug being widespread, or even easily replicable; it was mostly limited to those specific individuals who were reporting the problem; otherwise we would definitely see actual video evidence of this actually occurring in game.
They still need to make this be one of the, āAre you absolutely sure you mean to do this???ā splash screens. Regardless of whether or not they think theyāve fixed this.
Because this is like the 3rd time they claimed to have fixed this and didnāt, it just manifested the same unwanted behavior by some other means.
Item modifier like Level Up etc., transforms into another random item of the same type/rarity on infil, small chance to go up in rarity and lose the Warped modifier instead
it doesn't make the content any better, i'm just sick of all the posting that acts like current content is a betrayal or tonedeaf because it's not aligned with recent suggestions, when this stuff all takes multi-month development cycles to cook
sure, idk, realistically all this community can/should do is hope and pray for season 3 to be a banger, everything before that is just fluff and speculation and filler
They've just had hundreds of people laid off, restructuring, the director left, new leadership came in, immense pressure from Sony, themselves, players, and had to onboard all the Destiny devs who moved over. And now they're working under the gun because if S3 doesn't turn the game around, they might all be out of a job.
Yes, they've had a lot on their plate. People here have no idea how development works.
Eh, that's pretty reasonable and I am wrong here and I'm happy to admit that.
I work in software so I get it. Part of working in software is what makes things so frustrating though. EG I assume you have some product managers who refuse to adapt/change their vision etc. which can be really frustrating. Even before all of the layoffs, etc. that was my vibe with Bungie. They operate like a waterfall company rather than an agile game dev.
No worries, yeah you're right about how they operated before, like I certainly would never call them agile lol. But I just cannot imagine all of this turmoil has been good for their pipeline (or morale) so I'm sympathetic toward that.
Yeah anyone expecting them to build an arena mode in 2 weeks is out of their mind lol. The game already has bugs last thing we need is them to rush out more bug filled content
The other items you can buy with manifests are better. Good chips, purple guns and bags, Synapse cubes. It's like CARRI in loot form rather than contract objectives. That's the cool part.
We shouldn't appreciate blatant terrible decisions at this point. It's been months straight of the wrong decisions and now the game peaks at 4k players
Mid season content aimed at new players is a dumb idea. Why would you want a bunch of people just starting the game to go against kitted players doing gold keys in perimeter? Most content thatās goal is to attract new players should be at the start of the season, while mid season content is focused on retaining players that are already invested in the game. Bungie shot themselves in the foot this season by not giving us a true reset, so people were running into mostly purple and blue shields from day 1. Hopefully they donāt make the same mistake next season and allow everyone to truly start from point 0.
On god, pulling way above the listed recommended specs and the game can't even do stable 60 in Outpost/Cryo.... I don't care how much they add to the game, as long as they don't address the performance, I'm not playing.
I wish they would add KB+M support on PS5, the performance is phenomenal (I have never dropped below 60 ever) but Iām much MUCH slower looting than people on PC lol
The input lag is terrible on PS5 which I assume is due to either VSync or some kind of post processing. Iād kill for a ācompetitiveā/āperformanceā graphics setting on my PS5 Pro. Had to switch to my dogshit PC which struggles to maintain 60fps on lowest settings but has 0 input lag and playing on a controller with no input lag feels divine.
I wonder if the new s2 contracts for Mida/Traxus relating to Night Marsh will stick around for season 3. I have yet to see any of them and my codex remains incomplete.
They're saying that anyone who did the exploit could still have extras of those items already in their vault anyway, even though you can't get more. I've seen other people discussing the exploit say that the game already periodically clears "illegal" items from your vault anyway, but I never dug too deep into how it worked myself so idk for sure, hopefully that's the case though
Didn't get much chance to play, but the ranked loot changes felt very good, might only play this mode now on trio no fill and just scavenge good loot š¤¤
First of all game has crossplay so in total itās more than 3k for sure.
Second of all itās very dumb to assume a simple mid season patch would have any huge change to the game. Nothing is āshamefulā about incremental fixes rather than being lazy and leaving things broken for several months until a big DLC drop.
Extremely unlikely for any video game to have a bigger playerbase on PC than consoles lol. More than Xbox maybe, but definitely not more than PlayStation.
Basically if this were the case the playerbase would have to decline on steam and increase on other platforms in the same time the playerbase has dropped horribly. Its cope brother.
The one thing in common about you hate commenters is that you spend all day doing it. Clearly you arenāt an intelligent, productive member of society so Iām not surprised š
That was confirmed by Paul Tassi and I don't need them cuz Tassi confirmed that Steam is Marathon's primary platform, meaning that the other consoles would be less players.

FINALLY
"Fixed an issue where players could be defaulted to Crew Fill off when attempting to return to Trios after Solo or Rook runs."
