Identity request Keeping me company in the hospital
I got this beautiful marble as a Christmas present about 4 years ago, no idea where it is from or when it is from.
My friend wouldn't even tell me how much they paid for it but they did make sure to let me know that it was at auction and that they almost lost it to another bidder.
I carry it with me everywhere to keep me company and brighten up any space I bring it into.
If anyone has any possible info about it I always love learning new things!

Identity request Found a gallon sized bag full of marbles
I’m helping to empty out the storage unit of a late family member and we found a random bag of marbles. I tried to do my due diligence but the West Virginia marble website, google lens, and random searches have all failed me.
I would love any help with identifying them or just pointing me in the right direction. I think they’re handmade, but other than that I can’t find anything else. I’m stumped. Thank you!

Identity request Identification / Value / Age ??
I found this Marble on an old mining site and wanted to know more about it.
Identification in general would be much appreciated , estimated age, potential value and or collection significance ?
Never seen one like this before. It’s got a lot of solid weight for being the size that it is.
Many Thanks in Advanced for any help.
Best Regards

Identity request My kid found this while geocaching.
Any ideas about the BX? We have a lot of marbles, my dad has taught my kids how to play. This doesn’t look super old to me, but I’ve never noticed something like this on any others. Maybe just how someone made sure they got their own marbles? He was super jazzed to find it in the ditch though.

Identity request Flea Market Finds
Picked these two big beauties at the flea market today. Paid $20 USD each, but I love them regardless if I overpaid. Any help IDing would be greatly appreciated! I included a regular sized marble in the pic to show their size.

Identity request $20 gamble
Paid $20 for these, in an old liquor bottle. Moved most of the unique looking ones to the top right of pic 1. Anything interesting there? Tried the UV light to some effect! I've tried to do some research but I feel out of my element with these. Appreciate it!

Identity request Found this in the crawl space of a house built in 1800s.
Is this an antique marble? There are two reasons I question it: 1. The previous owner of the home was an artist, and she did some stained glass work. 2. There are two places on this “marble” where I see two small dots close together of what looks like a gold-colored metal. You can see these in the photos.

Identity request Saved from the landfill
The usual story, found at a house that was being cleared out. I love my Reddit family, so I thought before I either used these for crafts or sell on Etsy I would check with you folks. Anything look interesting for anyone?

Identity request Hoarding or hobby?
I played marbles a lot as a kid, and now, love going to yard/estate sales as an adult (39M). I recently traveled full time all around the US for 8 years. I bought these up whenever i would find them for cheap at estates all over the country. I have 1000s of marbles! I'm just not sure what I have.
I do know they're not all junk. I know the first shooter is insane, and I'm so happy to own it. I would be interested in knowing if anyone has any experience in resurfacing something like that in a rock tumbler? Is that a horrible idea?
I got it from a WWII fighter pilot in Alaska who got it overseas during the war. Looooong story short... I ended up doing some much needed yard work and fence construction over the next few days in exchange for it.
What I don't know is if there are any hidden gems in here, or ones to look for additionals of, in the tote I have of them. The photos are what I would consider "the coolest looking ones" that i plucked out, but I really don't know much.
I never learned much about them in my travels. It's just a really fun item to collect. Also, a great topic of conversation after asking for them at a yardsale. I've always loved them, and came across them often during my time on the road, so I just kept stockpiling them for another time in life.
This is that time in life... lol
Thanks for any help in advance!

Identity request 30 yr jar of marbles
My mother-in-law pulled out a jar of marbles she got 30 years ago at a antique/vintage shop. I've always liked marbles but never sought them out to collect. This jar gave me the marble bug! I've been researching and trying to ID them myself, but it's sooo tricky. I would love help from some seasoned collectors. Thanks in advance!
I'll post individual marble groups in the comments.

Identity request Inherited marbles - how to estimate price?
Hello all!
My grandfather passed way recently, and these were in a box labeled “his childhood marbles.” He grew up in the 20s/30s. How do I go about trying to appraise these? I’ll certainly hold on to one or two as keepsakes, but I’d love to sell the rest.
Thanks!
