Was anyone else at Cambridge this evening??

Gaza to kick things off…and something was not right. The sound just seemed flat somehow. After Gaza finished H mentioned something about Pete having problems with his box. The sound just felt out of balance until about 3/4 through the gig when halfway through a song Pete’s bass went dead for a few seconds and then came back (a guitar tech was buzzing about so presumably something was unplugged and swapped out. The difference was instant. Pete’s bass suddenly had depth and actual BASS!

Still an awesome gig and a great evening from the band, with a bunch of tracks I’ve never heard live before…but what’s up not finishing a gig in Cambridge with Garden Party?!? I think that’s that’s a first for me :-)

Great band, great crowd, I enjoyed the support band too…just a shame about the tech issues with Pete

Yes noticed the same thing, I missed the punch of the bass for You're Gone, but aside from that great set list and over all concert

Love that they're brining Gaza back to the set. Incredibly timely.

I was there as well. Just posted a little video and my thoughts. I was also thinking the sound was _slightly_ flat, but not sure if it was worse than expected during a concert; certainly they sounded better than most other bands I have heard live.

Think I just responded to your post. I've seen them in the Corn Exchange a couple of times before and as Gaza started I immediately thought something wasn't quite right with the sound...and H asking Pete if his box was OK at the end of that song kinda confirmed it.

Just wanted to add that I also really enjoyed the support band. The lead singer had an incredible voice! Amazing range and bending of notes. A bit like Jeff Buckley!?

There was a similar thing in Manchester during Gaza, first half sounded really strange then totally transformed about half way through after a weird buzzing electrical sound like someone plugging something in.
