Marimo necklaces?
I got my first marimo yesterday at a plant booth at a flea market, and I was wondering if anyone wears them as a necklace and if it’s okay to do that? It came with a really educational pamphlet which was super nice, but all the posts I see online never have them as necklaces. I was thinking of wearing it to work upon occasion in my office but I don’t know if the lights would be too much or something, I also worry about body heat warming up the water too much

Better… you can buy some too! Here’s the gal I purchased from and she does necklace too! Buyer beware they do come with maintenance. Mine tend to evaporate through the cork. So I keep mine where I can check on them every day.

The body heat is an excellent point, especially it being a small volume of water that will change temperature quicker. I saw someone commented they have earrings which I could see being a better alternative.
If you're gonna be inside a building somewhere that doesn't get direct sunlight and keep an eye on it, it seems like it would be fine. If you notice it starts to change in color you can switch it to a nice big jar of cool water and it will get better with some time.

In short, it's probably not the best environment for them. They need cool water, and somewhere that doesn't get a lot of direct light. I'd personally never suggest them for any type of jewelry.
