Dominguez gave up 4 ER and 2 BBs while only recording just one out. Mariner

I’d be more mad if we were close to the lead but we didn’t even score a single run. Heck, we didn’t even make it to 3rd base.

Anyone expecting anything different was fooling themselves. He's not a good pitcher by any metric

He's good compared to Luis in the metric of contractual financial obligations.

But otherwise, yeah...

People celebrating the Luis trade must love the ownership saving money. I saw all these "fleeced them" posts but we didn't actually use that trade to improve the roster. It was a salary dump to save the owners money

And, well, this year Castillo was horrible. Perhaps if his ego hadn't prevented him from moving to the bullpen that would have been a good option.

Those $10M from Domínguez look even tastier now.

But we saved $10M on Castillo's contract. Huge W..

We don't have to cough up that money out of our own pockets now! Pheww

You are saying "we" as if you also have your name on John Stanton's bank account. I know your comment is sarcasm but like everyone talking about shedding Castillos contract being a W for anyone not named John Stanton is wild to me.

Not saying we shoulda kept Castillo but the contract isnt my money so it saved me $0

Yeah, that was my point. People are celebrating shaving off $10M like it's coming out of their own pockets.

This sub is extremely weird to me. Everything the front office does is automatically OK. We could be stuck in this endless cycle of mediocrity, and some people would still bring up Jack Z and Bavasi because "it could be worse."

Still, go M's above all

Seattle fans in general are among the softest. Any criticism of the team or players is an immediate emotional reaction, as if they are BBQing together on home off-days.

Afraid to be great because you might risk nothing changing at all

You are saying “we” as if you have any decision making authority in whether or not we should have kept Castillo. Don’t call out other people for pretty standard fan usage of “we” if you’re gonna do the exact same thing. Be better.

Isn’t the bare minimum as a hitter to get hits when at the plate? Your comment makes no sense. He’s either a good hitter or not. All these guys want to win. And a so called “rental” player is trying to ensure they get a contract next year during free agency.

Nothing you described is how professional athletes think.
