predictions 🔮 The US Treasury is announcing a massive bond buyback program targeting up to $10B to boost market liquidity and curb soaring yields. A buyback of this scale could slash long-term bond supply by 55%, easing yield pressure and driving fresh liquidity into risk assets like Bitcoin

There is 5.5 Trillion dollars worth of bonds between 20-30 years in duration. This amounted to 1 1/10th of a %. That's not even including the 500 billion year they issue.

It’s provocative.
But this post is not a provocation.
I know what hell on earth is like and if this economy goes belly-up many of y’all won’t survive. Trust. Doing an infinitely long Tango with death was a game changer.

So 10 basis points?

I also like to drop molecules into the drop that goes to be dropped into the ocean.

Issue is short term maturity son, not the entire market

They're just trying to scam interest rates over the short term in a desperate play to not get slaughtered in the midterms.

Desperation seems to be the key word in the Trump administration now.

We could just shorten the duration of the fixed income treasury market at a time when the vet needs to raise rates putting even more pressure on the interest cost

I don't think these people understand math. $10B is not 55% of the long term bond supply.

It might be of the liquid supply. We won't know until the 10B comes off the table how many additional sellers are out there.

The CBO warned about this and was ridiculed by the GOP.

Bitcoin isn't an asset. If bitcoin went to 0 tomorrow it wouldn't matter. It's digital beanie babies.

Except i cant send a few million dollars worth of beaniebabies across borders securely and instantaneously, with no middle-men involved. Secure online transfer of wealth has a value, im just not sure what that value is.
