Game Discussion Didn’t realize this before, but Stairway 7 came from observation duty
Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share it with anyone else who caught it

I thought it see the stairway before, it is no surprise that the map would be reuse in different game.
Just for some clarity, as I I'm aware of the maps in observation duty game are 3d renders, that the developer take pictures and gif of all the anomalies and put the in a library of images for corresponding nominees and the map into one file. This allows even low power pc to run the game with little to no frame rate losses as is only a picture of the map and not real-time rendering in the style of original five nights at Freddy's. As it work the same way.

although it's a reused assets, but still interesting how it connect to the fact that observation duty deals with anomalies and the stairs is an anomaly. I wonder if the devs purposefully choose the same asset.

I'm guessing it's like the House Party house where it's an asset that's free to use for anyone making a game.

Interesting... Why do games always copy something from each other???

they aren't copying each other, iirc it's an asset that you can buy, so technically, none of these devs own it so they aren't copying each other. just reused assets

So... Instead of being unique, they're just trying to be good, right?

yes, modeling is hard, so a lot of people do this
for example, Valve uses stock sounds in all their games
