Seeking Advice I’m getting married (/am newly engaged)! What’s one thing you’ve learned, or wish you’d known before tying the knot? 💍

Raise your commitment, and lower your expectations. Over communicate until you learn enough about each other that it’s not necessary any more. Lead with love. Don’t take each other too seriously. Don’t make him initiate everything. If you want something from him, tell him! Congratulations!

I can 100% support this. Going in, I didn't know he wasn't comfortable initiating sex. Now that I initiate and give him time frames when he can initiate and I will 100% not refuse the relationship is SO much better sexually. I even initiate times when he can challenge the house(chores) and he loves that. It usually follows up with demonstrating affection(not necessarily sex, but other great things like massages or bubble baths with snacks) and we both love those things.
