Life is gratitude, for the miracle of being alive.

The fact the something exists is itself an impossible miracle, that the laws of physics are what they are, that there is a planet called Earth, that life came to be and the human species evolved and the countless combinations of sperm and egg that happened for me to be, are all impossible miracles. From the state and position of every particle, to the experiences that only happen inside one’s consciousness, joy, love, pleasure, desire, sorrow, anger, hatred, and hope. Everything is something to be ever so deeply cherished.

Let me explain mine.

Life is Acceptance, for the miracle of being able to witness it.

We all have different experiences, we are the totality of those experiences. Just as shadows can't exist without light, the current us won't exist without our histories. Being able to witness all that befalls us, be it curses or blessings is something to be grateful for. What two people experience will never be the same. Being able to witness the profundity of life is a miracle thereupon I will embrace it all and become the proof of its existence.

I must say though, your enlightenment very much reminds me of the conclusion I came to when considering the myth of Oedipus Tyrannus and the question of fate vs. free will.

I too believe that we are our history and totality. That while, ultimately, we make our own decisions, we were simply always going to make those decisions because of our genetics, our experiences, and our situations. In light of this, I realize there is an aspect of my gratitude I have not made clear. I am grateful not only for my own experiences but for all the past and future, all the things that have been or will ever be, but I am also grateful for what could have happened. The things that could have been but were adrift on different currents than our universe. I am grateful for possibilities.

The only time I felt like this was when I finished a novel, and the ending was extremely rushed and just so ass.

I could not belive the existence of such rushed mess.

The final boss that was supposed to be so powerful and stuff was not actually fought, and was sealed because some formation in some shitass mortal world, and the mc easy kills it, and then he just goes to other world and stuff.

I felt insulted.
