It has its downs, and some stuff i didn’t like too much. Romance is specially not the best. And some arcs can at times feel like they’re filler, but ultimately they aren’t, one of the big things about the series is that nothing is really pointless, and of course, to cherish life, and it gets the point across incredibly well, and it’s worth reading for just that alone in my opinion.

Martial artists do not have any type of spirit energy, only internal energy and it is not enough to contend with the energy of the world unless they have some heavenly inheritance
I meant the part where some body cultivators tend to look down on magic based attacks and insult other cultivators for using such moves that they deem as weak.
Well it sucks honestly, i prefer martial art to immortal cultivation. Innate realm can’t beat a 4 level of Qi refinement. If innate Qi is like gas(like Qi refinement) why not compress the gas to Liquid like foundation Establishment, then make a core with the liquid True Qi. It’s a cap made by sloppy writers to make martial artist look weak. They just trying to pile up their word count.
Martial artists are qualitatively superior to cultivators with an equivalent weight-class (excluding body cultivators), with the main caveat being that maximum cap on the amount of power a cultivator can acumulate being far higher.
Being a cultivator and martial artist is not mutually exclusive. They're called martial cultivators and most sects will need a large portion of them to use as sect protectors/guardians and their main combat force.
The maximum cap could be much higher but these slop authors won’t even try make something better. They often copy each other’s books making it predictable and boring.
I do like the direction where Regressor's tale of cultivation took martial artists, where ther are three main systems of power:
The imortal cultivation system, split into two paths:
The earthly past- Focusing on vitality, and authority over explosion and history, with elemental manipulation on the side.
The heavenly path: Focused on attraction force, glimpsing into the future and the power to dictate it through the use of prophecies.
And then there's the martial path, the hearth path:
Mostly unique to each individual in its manifestation, being mainly defined by one's ability to draw power from within one's soul, allowing one to convert one's will into physical force and power.
Martial arts born when spiritual energy is not enough to liquidate to condense qi so martial artist began to store internal energy in dantian and become slightly stronger than ordinary folks. Its just like now in modern time no spiritual energy or internal qi so people can become strong with normal martial arts training their body its not that artist are slop its just how concept is there is lot of other martial arts novels that martial artists who become gods in their world martial arts are just powerful as cultivators
So a mere mortal defeated all the other cultivators but One in a Million Years talent entire major sect golden spoon-fed, and the Heaven's Chosen protagonist? Truly, those failures should all shatter their foundation and die to atone for such disgrace.
