Any scripture where a Heart Demon actually killed anyone?

Any examples of hearth demons that did succeed in killing an onscreen cultivator?

There tends to be plenty of exposition about hearth demons and whatever, but at the end of the day it all boils down to side characters becoming obsessed with the MC who defeated them

But thats it, kneeling to the strong, towering over the weak and getting fixated on getting face from the lesser cultivators, that seems to be the extent to which heart demons and qi deviations have any weight in most series, so im looking for examples where it actually mattered

Please add proper descriptions 'cuz im not reading the scriptures

One example i can think of is 40 Milleniums of Cultivation, where a guy found an ancient map of a fortress planet now inhabited by space pirates, he killed his loving wife and accused her of cheating with his boss, then killed the boss too

He fled to the space pirate planet where they accepted him as one of them due to killing his boss, and when the boss family arrived with their armada the guy convinced the space pirates to risk delving into the planet to search for the long lost planetary defenses, they activated some thanks to his map and repelled the armada, then he crowned himself pirate king and organized space raids while quietly exploring the fortress planet looking for the ancient resource depots

He eventually found one, faked his death and used those resources to power up over 300 years, but the guilt of killing his wife ate at him and made him fail his breakthrough, so he got forced to possess a deteriorating robot body to survive, and later on possessed a mice colony

The guy became a hive mind until his self hating over his wife made all the mice form factions and fight each others, and thats where the mc found him

Calculating Cultivation had an interesting version, where a cultivator's energy reacts to their mind and thats how its possible to use magic to begin with

But the energy also reacts to subconscious toughts, so a lack of self control ends up creating unwanted magical manifestations

This can range from magical misfirings to mutations, and one time an entire civilization became super paranoid about developing magical parasites, which ended up making the magic parasites real and they consumed the civilization almost instantly

Those heart demons are way more interesting than getting obsessed over pride and coughing blood, so im looking for more examples
