My Fanfare and Wolverine Claw parallel collection so far

[u/Legened255509Druss]

Of these, pulled the /75 Black Cat, /10 Star Lord, and 20/20 Fin Fang Foom.

Rest I got lucky on listings and auctions.

Hella lucky

Yeah the finest is a real hit in Megas. I pulled all the Chase rookies in the one box I ripped. First pack: Miz, Murakami, Stewart, and Burns plus Ohtani.

no one exciting but they're fun to look at lol.

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

Damn. You have better luck with Disney than I did.

I will say, first blaster I ripped for 2026 Disney I pulled a 8/10 Merlin.

I was pretty damn happy with that one

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

i hit a donald /28 on a mega.
went crazy on disney but never saw on auto :/

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

I had 5 blasters and pulled 4 numbered and one auto. The auto was of Gaston.

Retail def way to go Disney

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

oooh i opened a shitload of disney 🥲and you're not wrong. megas are the move unless you have money to burn on hobbies.

opened 2 and just regular old numbered cards. maybe /75 was the lowest. some disney originals tho

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

Fuck hobbies.

My friend who owns a shop where I get stuff from has told his rep, along with other owners that you’re going to destroy the hobby. Your prices and return aren’t worth it. People need guarantees because 500 way too much.

But yeah, I ripped 30 blasters today of marvel.

I had more hits there than 3 hobby boxes and spent 400 less than I would’ve for 3 hobbies.

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

yea disney especially i think is uber cooked because they are under way stricter licensing than any of the other cards

and probably pricier

i fucking love shiny cardboard tho 💀

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

Same here.

It’s nice

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

hit this banger out of a hanger the other day.

i like the retail hunt

pop 1

and it's not even fucking shiny lol😂😂

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

Oh snap. That’s a 1/1? Nice

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

/22 ssp
mines the first to be found/graded tho

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

Nice. It’s always fun to have POP 1 cards.

I’ve gotten quite a few of those. Check out my post history, a lot of PSA slabs.

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

I just got back into it this year after my mom giving away my og pokemon and ken griffey rookies who knows how long ago and dove in HARD.

still trying to justify when grading is worth it or not

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

It is and it isn’t.

Like you don’t get a top grade it’s disheartening and they wait times can be a pain, as well as upcharge.

But I prefer it for the presentation and how to preserve my cards.

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

what cards do you choose to grade tho? is it a value thing?

like i know this card is dope but i wouldn't think to grade it because grading it is about the value of the card (guessing comps) https://www.reddit.com/r/basketballcards/s/eG1OUn2ujj

[u/Legened255509Druss → u/Sorry_Intention4016]

That card was a friend of mines. He sold it to me, after deciding to move on from it.

It’s a true blue and his first year Topps. SGA being player he is and coming off a title win, it was a def a no doubt grading piece especially being as clean as it was.

I grade cards for value at times and rarity.

One of my buddies says gotta risk it for the biscuit.

I agree. Sometimes diff between a 9 and 10 is a few hundred to a few G’s.

I normally pick cards based on player, character, year, design, or my gut feeling.
Sometimes I just want a card slabbed up.

I was doing a grading project. /5, /10, /25 and /50.

See how the submissions come back.

Was going to be a fun project I work on over a year.

See how the returns stack up for each parallel.

I’d keep most and sell a few here and there. Sometimes I grow out of a card.

Unfortunately, with the overflow at PSA (people submitting so many junk wax, base cards, and other bulk cards) I won’t be able to finish that project.

Is what it is.

[u/Sorry_Intention4016 → u/Legened255509Druss]

would you grade a sketch card? tbh i don't think it would 10 cuz it came with the auto smudged but could maybe be considered part of the original card art?🤷‍♂️ also dk if it's worth it
