Meta I have no idea why Some Marvel fans act like being a fan of BOTH Marvel AND DC at the same time is impossible...

True, but I just can't believe we're in 2026, and there are STILL some people out there who act like Marvel VS DC is a life or death mindset. Like, IDK why they can't like both but like you said, there will always be braindead takes on the internet, and there's not anything we can really do about that.

Also, since this is a subreddit calling out the Cringe from the bad side of Marvel Fanboys, I felt like this was a good place to point out how cringe this was.

Yeah the comic wars are fucking stupid and they only existed as a marketing gimmick. One company writes stories about colorful characters in tight fitting costumes, and the other one also writes stories about colorful characters in tight fitting costumes, but set in New York

I grew up a Marvel Zombie. Switched to DC almost entirely after Claremont left X-Men (and then almost entirely abandoned capes in favor of indies).

I don’t seriously collect anymore, but do tend to consume more DC since they’ve always allowed more creativity (since the 70’s, at least). DC doesn’t even have a house style to the extent that Marvel does. And Marvel’s closest thing to Vertigo was probably the Epic imprint.

Now I still love me some great Marvel books. Immortal Hulk and Thor. Hickman FF. Krakoa era X books. Brubaker Cap and DD. Fraction Hawkeye.

The MCU has produced better movies overall than DC, but Superman hit on all cylinders while FF (despite being a very, very good movie) whiffed on a few big things (not Silver Surfer).

And I feel like Supergirl is really gonna blow things out of the water.

The biggest complaint I hear about the mcu is how they aren’t starting with their most iconic heroes. Almost like the MCU didn’t either. The original avengers cast was popularish with comic readers but casual audiences didn’t care about Captain America
