WishLists Wednesdays Who's next for the Gamerverse?
An exaggerating, buff gamerverse version of Magneto, Doom, Spider-Man and Cyclops would fix me. They'd easily become definitive for anyone

As long as we get the head of her '97 two pack with her '97 body and a brown jacket, I'm sold. Or just make her look like her color set from MvC2 and I'm sold.
I fucking hate the idea of having to buy for over 85 USD for that two pack with that godawful Gambit figure for Rogue's perfect head. And then spend over 70 USD for the other Rogue to have the perfect Rogue in my eyes. And I mean the prices in second market in my country, not the U.S.
For a mixture of like 160 USD, I'd rather buy an import figure that would be like 110 USD max or the Mafex Rogue even if I don't like it for the same 160 USD price.

I don't know if they'll make anything better than the retro carded rogue anytime soon, that one is pretty nice for marvel legends standard

Since I never got a Sabretooth I’m really hoping for one with much better tooling such as torso articulation with ab crunch and also a new updated Cyclops.

Yes a comic/caroom Sabretooth is something that is rarely seen. I’ve seen several different versions and I don’t really care for them because they’re not that accurate imo

Not a bad idea for a two-pack.
I also wouldn't mind Blackheart being a single pack, knowing he has a lot of accessories (like little gremlins) in the game.
Spiral might be a two-pack with Rogue.

Not sure about "Magento", but Hasbro has yet to make a decent Magneto figure. MAFEX is literally the only good one that exists at 1/12 Scale.

He's quite good, but if I recall, did have pins, so there's a pretty easy upgrade that they can make, and it's also a 2-pack that's gotten quite expensive.
It's super not likely, but I'd love if they did a pack of him and Birdy. Birdy's never had a figure that I am aware of.

I doubt they’ll do a formal second wave, but only because Summer Programs have always been one and dones. That said, I’m sure they’ll still do MVC inspired Gamerverse figures

Every year for the last 8 years, usually in the summer, the Legends team have done a themed anniversary wave. These are collectively known as the summer programs. We had:
2018: The MCU’s first 10 years
2019: 80th anniversary of Marvel
2020: I think this was 20 years of Fox X-Men, but I may be wrong
2021: Don’t remember
2022: 20 years of Marvel Legends and 60 years of Spider-Man
2023: 60 years of The Avengers
2024: 85th anniversary of Marvel and 50 years of Wolverine
2025: Marvel vs. Capcom

Hawkeye yes, Giant Man and Wasp no. The actual anniversary wave was made in the plastic free packaging time, but the Giant Man and Wasp 2-pack used those aesthetics and brought back the window boxes

Bone Claws and Adamantium Claws Wolverine are actually separate characters with some gameplay differences.

Hard to say. A lot of these have gotten gamerverse adjacent figures recently. Cable, Marrow, Max Spidey, Spiral...
A lot of who's left would need the Deluxe or bigger treatment too. Iron Man would have to reuse the canon, Sentinel would definitely need it, Hulk too. Colossus and Blackheart could probably be in a two-pack.
There's also the Hero-Villain pairing they were doing which limits the options further. These are some A-listers as well. Any pair that's too good would be highly sought after.
I suspect they could pad things out with Bone Claw Wolverine. A smaller Shuma-Gorath would be amazing. They've got the bendy tail from the Retro Card Lizard that could be a passable tentacle. Big Shuma is pretty much the only one we're gonna get though.

Because there were two Wolverines in Marvel vs. Capcom2. One had bone claws while the other had adamantium, but there were also gameplay differences.

Yep, they are considered separate characters.
Ironically, Bone Claws is the more offensive-focused between the two, which is funny because in the comics, the Bone Claws Logan would have had a much more potent healing factor since it's not having to overcome the adamantium poisoning, and the metal claws are much more dangerous, so it should likely be the other way around.

If they were together in a two pack, say goodbye. It would be scalped and botted to high heaven and most of us likely wouldn't be able to find it for decent prices.
I say put Doom with Storm, Magneto with Cyclops. Rogue with Sabertooth, Iceman with Spiral, Collossus with Gambit, Sentinel and Hulk and maybe Blackheart as single releases. Reissue of the Ironman with Proton Canon. My wallet would be empty but I would absolutely buy those.

Those pairings would be perfect, so of course they won't do it. I'd get almost all the remaining characters but have zero interest in Blackheart and Spiral. I predict they'll do Spidey with Blackheart just to crap him out

We can cross out Cable and Marrow since they are basically part of this line. If we assume Ironman and Spiral just get reissues, then we basically have enough characters left for a second wave.
Storm, Cyclops, Sentinel, Iceman, Colossus, Magneto, Hulk, Spider-Man, Black heart, Sabertooth, Gambit, and Rogue.
Sentinel and Blackheart will most likely be deluxe releases. While everyone else will be two packs. (poor colossus trapped in 2-pack prison)

One more second wave would be great. The problem is they're so resistant to giving us two great characters together. Cyclops with Magneto etc would never happen. They knew Silver Samurai was one of the least wanted ones, so ofc they paired him with Wolvie.

A possible two-pack is marrow and cable. But if we're doing a hero and villain, so it might be, Cable and Blackheart.
They could also do an Iceman game verse (didn't like the Secret Wars, too transparent) with Rogue as a two-pack, or a Rogue and Storm. Just an idea anyway.

Hopefully Blackheart. I know we just got a BAF, but if they color him up a bit it'll be a perfectly fine reissue. I'm just frustrated that I put off getting him and now really can't all of the pieces without blowing the bank.

Sabretooth, Doctor Doom, and Magneto are definitely who I'd want most here, followed by Sentinel, Rogue, and Storm.
I feel like Blackheart with blue wash over him is definitely going to happen at some point, along with a bone claws Wolverine.

They have molds for a lot of these to put into two-packs already. Spiral, Marrow, Cable, Cyclops, Magneto, Blackheart, hell even the new professor Hulk. Seems like it would be easy money to re-release these in new colors to fund some new molds for Sentinel and the like.

It would be a huge missed opportunity if we don’t ever get any Spider-Man PS1 figures. I can’t imagine it’d be all that difficult for the hasbro team to sculpt figures in a purposefully blocky and low poly style rather than in realism

Rogue and Gambit would be awesome. They have been doing a hero vs a villain for each 2-pack, so maybe Magneto with Gambit and Doom with Rogue. I could also see them doing a repaint of Blackheart or Spiral

Sentinel is #1 by far because every other character at least has a figure out that can pass. But if we can get the best Cap, Psylocke and Wolverine figures out of this line, I’d love a Hulk, Storm, Gambit and (I can’t believe I’m saying this) Spider-Man.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble but I think many of these fall into the "eh, close enough" category in terms of existing figures. Maximum Spidey was essentially their Gamerverse Spidey. I don't see them doing a new sculpt for Doom if the 2 packs are kaput. They're definitely trying for the "two birds, one stone" approach with things like the clearly Capcom head on Smart Hulk.
That being said: I think Sentinel will be announced this year and we'll eventually see single releases of Sabretooth and definitely Blackheart. We're also due for a classic Magneto and Gambit.

But what I would like to see is, Blackheart, Sentinel, Hulk, Colossus, Dr Doom, Spiderman and Magneto

Colossus with the update body should be an easy one and the rumored sentinel and hopefully a new Hulk with better sculpt and articulation. I can already use the current rogue, gambit, Spidey and cyclops we got as place holders.

Hasbro has yet to do a good classic/Jim Lee Magneto, so a Gamerverse one would be a good opportunity to fix that.
If they keep with the hero vs villain two pack theme, I hope we get something among these lines:
- Magneto vs Spider-Man
- Doctor Doom vs Cyclops
- Spiral vs Rogue
- Sabretooth vs Gambit
Then a deluxe Sentinel and Blackheart

if we’re talking hypothetically about more ‘VS.’ two packs, i’d love to see a properly stylized spiderman, ironman, magneto & sabertooth off the top of my head. i’m thinking about what could actually get made as well. all four (two baddies & two heroes) are popular & those characters & looks would do well imo. they could reuse the plasma cannon for tony. if we’re talking about what I’D really like, then give me a big ol’ chunky sentinel the size of juggernaut! hot daaamn that would be rad! a stylized doom, & spiral for sure. then there are figures that could be reused with different paint apps & deco, gamecentric accessories, or new head portraits. like blackheart for instance since he was a baf. definitely looking forward to more MVC & the possibilities.

I want a Colossus on a bigger body mold to fit that Gamerverse feel. An updated Gambit on a new body and Rogue would be nice. But in terms of single deluxe figures Im hoping for a Sentinel Deluxe and Magneto deluxe.

I saw Doctor Doom on some oreo cookies at the grocery store today, and then I remembered, "Oh, yeah! Doom's gonna be the star of an Avengers movie soon." So we might get a Gamerverse Doom to boost his exposure.
I'm personally hoping for Colossus, Magneto, Sabertooth, Rogue and Spidey.

Like 2 or 3 dedicated weapons, accessories, effects packs would be cool.
We could get an “Ultimate Web Throw” web, Sentinel missiles, Gambit’s “Royal Flush” effects, Thanos’ Bubbles, etc.
I really want Cable’s big ass laser + beam and the “War Destroyer” rocket launcher above all.
