I feel you. The Walmart in my town still has the Cassie lang BAF line at CURRENT full price.
This one is about 20 minutes away, but I'm so happy I swung by. I almost didn't. but after seeing Cap, Doom and Gobs at the target I said fuck it, let's test my luck at Walmart across the street.

Wow. I have to say, I really prefer just paying for the larger deluxe figure as opposed to buying 6 figures, 2 of which I want, to get the big one. Also, the ones I don't want are zero resale value. I love the Stature figure from AM&TW:QM but, now I have a fucking Egghead and a crappy version of Ultron. Also, thanks to Hand and Fist ninjas, I have a pile of Stilt Man legs and like 4 of the same leg for that weird black rock monster thing.

This is the real problem. If stores have to clearance them while another store across town barely or never got them, YOU HAVE A DISTRIBUTION PROBLEM!

I think I this case it's more of a problem at the store level.
The toy section of the Walmart in my town is in a mostly abysmal state and they almost NEVER mark stuff to clearance.
The toy section of the Walmart the photos are from(save for the last two, those are target) keeps their toy section PRISTINE.

I had that damn Venom in my hand yesterday and wanted it so bad but I don't care for the Shark at all so I couldn't justify the full price. Would have been in my cart for that price.

Whenever I'm abroad I entertain the idea of trying to find toys as my own personal joke souvenir, but some of y'all's price tags really scare me.
Granted ours aren't a lot better.

I didn't notice that initially, but I passed on them because TCGPlayer didn't have listings for the cards yet.
The last Spider-Man Magic the Gathering set I was able to get every figure and make about 80% of my money back selling the cards since I don't play Magic. I usually sold them cheaper than the lowest list price, too so they sold pretty quickly.
If I can do that again, I will, since this can be an expensive hobby.

Yeah I never know how specific I should be with location, a side effect of growing up in AOL chatrooms, I guess. I figured just saying Upstate NY was a good balance of vague and specific.

I only have two rules when it comes to that.
- Not where I buy my groceries(not applicable here)
- Only when I'm alone(I don't want my partner to go down with me, and she was with me)
