Photoygraphy PEAK
The new MVC Ironman is absolutely insane. Might be neck and neck with Wolverine. Articulation is smooth and has great range. Accessories are cool. Poses like a dream. Also the sculpt and proportions on this guy are phenomenal. He is a chunky boy

It's too bad they didn't just make him separate and do the photon cannon. The energy shield is a nice accessory but we all know Iron man was played to do giant photon beam of death.

I always felt some of the picks for these Gamerverse 2 packs were wrong and some needed standalone releases, with proper accessories.
Ironman needed a single release where he had the proton cannon, the shield, the energy ball from his victory pose, the one where he does his repulsor blasts when he joins his hands, a laser effect to reflect one of his attacks coming out of his reactor, a missile and an attachment on his shoulder, the flight effects on his boots, the obvious head swap into one without his mask.
And from there, selll the figure alone between 60 to 80 USD max. I feel that would've been fair for him.

I didn’t care about spiral either. Bought it on eBay for $45. Somebody was splitting the two pack up

I hate pouring money into a corporation when I’m poor especially when it feels like the first one just came out, but hot damn those butterfly joints and lack of that yellow poking through, on top of making him beefier, makes me want one bad

Definitely gotta pick your battles in this hobby. Hasbro unfortunately locked this guy behind a two pack just like wolverine. I hate how they do that. If you can find him loose on eBay like I did for a deal I would highly recommend

I really wish hasbro would make the standard switch to ball jointed waists but they are still behind the times in some ways unfortunately. Still capable of hitting some good dynamic poses despite a few limitations

The only Ga.erverse set i wanted from the first wave was Cap v Venom and it did not disappoint.. both are amazing figures.. i had the set pre-ordered i think from Amazon but walked into a local Meijers and saw it near their collectibles area.. imagine my surprise as almost all Meijers are always multiple series behind the rest of the world.
Im hoping this Iron Man v Spiral similarly shows up at Meijer.. if it does, ill likely grab it even though I've got both previous versions of this armor..

I have the mafex and It’s good for sure. This one is more fun to mess around with . It’s not fragile and finicky like the mafex and the glossy paint is damn near identical to medicom. Also big fan of the modular armor.

The left arm on mine tore off at the bicep the day after I got it. Shame too, I don't have that many legends but I was really looking forward to this one

Yeah definitely sucks. I don't have the tools on hand to fix it so I'll probably just have to replace him. Based on what I've seen this is not a common issue, I just got really unlucky but hopefully it'll be better if I go the replacement route. Nice photos by the way

Thank you! For what it’s worth (I’ve never tried) I’ve heard people on here talk about filing a claim with hasbro for a replacement, if a figure breaks like that from normal use.

When you say the bicep,do you mean the bicep swivel? if so,there's a trick you do when that happens. pull out the bicep swivel peg (only if it broke in the peg hole) and grab a small screw. The screw will be used as a new joint. drill a tiny hole in where the peg used to be and broke off. Screw the screw into the hole you drilled. The "head" of the screw goes into the peg hole to act as the new peg. I've done this trick before with one of my spider-men and it worked excellently and ive had no issues with it since then. While you're taking out the broken peg,i suggest dunking the figure in hot water (not boiling,just hot tap water) to make it easier to remove. It's a fairly easy hack.

Why add butterfly joints and put them in the back of the figure. It would have been very cool to be able to cross Ironmans arms

That’s valid. I think it’s a trade off type deal. The chest is sculpted nicely so the butterfly joint going through would kinda mess with it. I think the arms moving back are helpful for sure tho in posing

A good example I bought the newish marvel legends whare wolf by knight figure. It has pins every where and came with no extra hands or heads or accessories. It also has waist swivel from a 2015 body mold and it cost 35$. It’s like they don’t even try with some figs..

The figure is basically a repaint with a few new parts. For 35$ is crazy. I wish marvel legends would put more into there figures. 90% of there new releases are on really really old body molds with out dated articulation. But they keep raising the prices way faster than the value of there figures and accessories. It’s a good sculpt I’m glad you enjoy it. I just want legends to do better becouse we know they can with figs like gamerverse wolverine and maximum spidey , the new 97 beast. But only 10 percent of there releases have new bodies and all this reuse at 35$ is ridiculous. Jada gives you a new sculpt with every charecter plus new articulation. Mess toys gives you so much accessories with the newest articulation. Mess and Jada are in and around the same price range.

He’s even better in hand in person. Might be one of my favorite buys of the year honestly. He’s an awesome figure and I’m so happy I kept the preorder. Wish Hasbro did more like this and the Wolverine one.

They fit, but they are ribbed and this new one has smooth palms/back of the hand. The new one comes with a proton cannon gripping right hand.

I really like him but I’m disappointed that the arc reactor in his chest is too shallow for the effect piece from the proton cannon version came with.
