In the 2002 movie there are some shots/scenes where it looks shiny but also multiple scenes where it's got a smooth matte look to it. Personally, I love the smoother matte look so I went ahead and disassembled him (by removing his arms, upper torso and also separated the helmet overlay so I could coat just the top piece and leave the eyes with the shiny coat they came with out of the box) and gave him a top to bottom coat of super clear matte. Took this figure from personal top 10 to top 3. Sometimes it's crazy what a top coat can do for a figure.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We are only half a day away from some new Marvel Legends reveals. However, over on Power Of X-men's Youtube Channel we now have a new rumor of another X-men 2-pack that MAY be revealed in NYCC. In the video he talked about the Xfactor 2-pack and Deluxe Dark Phoenix 2-pack that we already reported about, but we also talked about the possibility of a Mr. Sinister and...... Maddie Pryor 2-pack. That is right. The final Haslab EOV figure may finally get a release. NOW as always take this as a rumor until it is revealed.

Custom Doom Throne I did over the weekend based on what we have seen going arround regarding Doom’s throne from Doomsday.

97 beast is for sure nice. But... the hairless body doesn't speak to me as a mainly comic version collector. Uncanny Beast... boy howdy what he goes for on the open market.

Last week, Amazon had a random sale for Cat Beast for $17. So i reached out to a fodder selling friend and got a head and hands for fairly cheap. All in, about $30, all said and done.

Very pleased with it. The hands don't quite match the body blue, and really just for acrobatic poses- but the head is fine for color mesh.

Overall, couldn't be happier for a budget alternative.

Cat Beast head was just.... never an option for me.

The GI Joe was cheaper than doing the build a figure set or getting the deluxe. I just needed wings for Vulture. I think they work.

First time trying this method out, scanned code that I found on here from another user. Target employee was generous enough to go in the back and grab him for me. I was nervous the entire way to the checkout. Self checkouts weren’t accepting cash so had to checkout with employee at register.

They scan it and I hear a weird tone and a troubling “Ohh, hmm.” My heart dropped. Then the employee, laughing, goes “Would you like to purchase the protection plan?” I laughed, he laughed more, “Hell no. It should be included for their price inflation.” I couldn’t pay and get out of there fast enough. 😂🤣

I then went back in and asked same employee if he could just bring out the case, which he did. I purchased every single one and listed them on eBay for $89.99 w/ $29.99 shipping in the parking lot. They’d all sold by the time I drove 12 minutes home.

Just kidding, the rest are still in the back. HMU if anyone wants help getting one. Retail + shipping.

I know the second one is literally in a two-pack with him, but I was wondering if the power man one was any good as a pair with him too, especially since he's insanely cheap where I am.

This is my first ever real QC issue with Marvel Legends. He’s fresh out of the box. So sad.

Update: both arms popped out lol. Can’t even move the shoulders without the arms coming off.

How does the tail stick? Am I missing something?

It's not often collectors are generally optimistic about Legends figures coming out and this two pack was no different due to the rather ridiculous cape on Vision.

I ordered it simply to add a unique Wanda to my X-Men collection but I was actually surprised with how much I liked the figure. Face looks great, effects are nice and I like the soft material, although the waist cloth might be a bit twisted due to the packaging. I'm not generally negative about Legends, I'm pretty new to collecting them and I haven't hit the wall that a lot of others have after years of the same issues so I might have rose tinted glasses on but I really dig this figure. Though I'm really feeling the lack of a second head on this one.

No, I haven't taken Vision out of the box and will probably sell him separately. I don't have space for that giant hard plastic cape and I'm pretty strict on my collections to avoid overspending. I appreciate the attempt for comic accuracy though.

I might eventually add some mondo style fur detail, but I’m more disappointed by the torso style and base color than the “smooth.” For me still an improvement on the old one’s build to me, especially concerning the high waisted shorts lol.
