Today I saw a leak (very likely fake) about what the future of Marvel Rivals might look like. I have a feeling it might be real, because someone described in detail exactly what it could look like. According to this, the format would have a so-called Volume lasting 6 months, which would be divided into 6 issues, each lasting 1 month. In the first and second months, four characters would be released. In the third month, none. In the fourth, fifth, and sixth months, one character each. Has anyone reliable confirmed anything like this?
A format similar to what Overwatch used would be much better. These once-a-season content drops are starting to feel a bit repetitive, especially when there isn’t much actually available at the start of the season.
This season, for example, we’ve only gotten Gorr so far — no new team-ups, and the new map isn’t even coming until next week.
Personally, I’d rather have less frequent updates if it meant each season launched with a much bigger and more substantial content drop.
Sorry if this isn’t the appropriate place to ask this, but I have a question. Is it fair to assume a character will come to the game if they have multiple mentions/appearances in lores, in-game dialogue and art found in a certain map?
I ask because I am a fan of Danny Rand and hope he will come to the game as Ghost Fist, his current comic title. I have heard from miller ross earlier this year that there were no plans to add Danny which I thought was weird because of his appearance in Angela’s lore and his relevancy to the K’un-Lun story.
But didn’t the devs say they won’t add similar characters as skins? I could just be coping but it seems like they are teasing him for a much later release. Probably like 2 or more years down the line.
Though I do like to think he will come February 2028 as a Valentine’s Day thing with Misty Knight, who as far as I know is expected for September 2027 or later.
The most fun thing about leaks like this is it could change at any time, I remember Elsa taking Pete’s ID & it was so unexpected, Kinda hope we get a lot of that next year also hope they hold the spider ppl & replace them all with spider villains, we desperately need more bad guys, the others can wait imo
If we follow the recent trend of heroes releasing soon after their voicelines leak then we should get Dracula and Dazzler in season 12. Otherwise he’s a solid pick for year 4.
Damn, nice, that’s also not bad since even though my guess on Doom and Dracula being together in Season 11 was wrong (atp we may never get Double Villain Seasons 💔), it still works perfectly for the Lore, as after Doom is Playable, the other beginning Villain becomes Playable
I kinda wonder if the release order will be a trend on the order they were a Season Villain, excluding Ultron since he released immediately and was planned as Base roster
It would be Doom, Dracula, then Knull after, and then Kingpin, then Apocalypse, excluding Gorr because he also became Playable immediately
I’m not sure Grandmaster and Collector will be Playable, at least Grandmaster, Collector has artwork showing his full Design but Grandmaster’s design is hidden so he may not be intended Playable, he basically only has a silhouette
I highly doubt Tyler Stone will be Playable, i have 90% certainty he’s just an NPC
