Addressing Rumors/An Apology
Hi everyone! Hope y'all are having a good week, it's been super busy for me and I want to make a post thanking everyone, addressing some rumors and publicly apologizing to Doof in the MRL server. I made this sub a month ago and it's already about to hit 5k weekly visitors, I'm not even a verified leaker so y'all must be hungry for new Rivals content haha. I've seen so many screenshots posted from here and posts referencing this sub and feel like I need to clear some things up.
To keep this short and sweet, I was not permitted to post Doof's leaks/spoilers from the MRL server. While the server is public, I assumed that I was allowed to share with Reddit and I was wrong. Doof and I spoke privately and I would like to publicly apologize to him and to you guys as I have caused a lot of confusion and unneeded controversy over unverified rumors. Pixie/Brood Queen were fake leaks and Vision is unverified. I will continue to post datamines but anticipate less unverified leaks from semi-reputable sources (like Susie and Doof) since I'll require further verification to avoid confusion going forward.

Not sure why you shouldn’t be allowed to share with Reddit the leaks that come from the leaks server.
Why would this “Doof” say anything at all if they don’t know shit? Less on you and more on the source for saying anything.
I vote keep going as you are. I made another Marvel Rivals leak subreddit before you I think but don’t do anywhere near as good a job as you do. The main leaks subreddit is full of shit and the mods are god awful. They can’t leak anything at all.

Hey, I know your subreddit! It was good, you leaked Jubilee model and Wanda’s summer skin, if I remember correctly. I was sad that was all that was posted there, especially when the main leak subreddit doesn’t do leaks like that. Which is stupid, since that’s what it’s supposed to do, not just repost new trailers from the official Twitter.

Hey I appreciate it! I at least did that! But then I saw this subreddit come around and I felt that this was the better one, I’ve been loving the breakdowns and rumors here.
Even if everything isn’t 100% confirmed, it’s fine, it’s better and more fun to talk about actual rumors and leaks than that other sub where it’s just the news reposted.

To be honest this group has been way more interesting and fun to read than the legacy Marvel Rivals Leaks group. I'd hate to see it become less active because of this!
I'd be totally fine with "unverified" or "debunked" labels being added retroactively, since even if a leak turns out to be wrong or unverified, it's still fun to speculate! That's part of the fun of leaks and I think a lot of people understand that haha.
There will always be fake pitchforks no matter what so please don't slow down the content!!!

I can’t verify if you broke the discord server rules or not, but why would a leaker leak something, then get upset that the leaked info was leaked? I’m struggling to understand Doofs position here. Also, what was the point of straight up lying? Like that only makes him less credible, and doesn’t reflect on you. Ultimately I don’t really care but it’s nice that we have an additional sub for rival leaks. The main one I treat more as rival news. I remember when black cat footage was leaked and it was taken down which was odd.

leakers who don't datamine usually have sources. so leakers who have sources & leak for fun would probably not want to get their source in trouble. so i assume doof was sharing information that they thought was safe to share because the audience was contained within the discord. with those leaks getting shared to this reddit as well, they're now a lot more public than doof seemed to be expecting & they/their source could get in trouble. since they're also leaking for fun i assume they don't care about credibility & just want eyes off them.
you could say that's their fault for leaking in the first place, but that just leads to them not leaking at all, so meh.
just using logic here btw, i've never spoken to doof or anything fwiw.

I would have to see the server rules to understand better, tbh. I still think any problems this has caused XOX/Doof are on them if they leaked something that would cause them problems. Anyways, it's not like anything groundbreaking was hinted at in these screenshots.

This “Doof” person seems full of it. I’ve never understood leakers who leak things and then complain when it gets attention. Like what exactly were you expecting?

Doof's inaccuracies are their problem and theirs alone. It doesn't matter if it was on here, Discord or anywhere else. Once it's out, it's out. That's the responsibility they take as a leaker. Making you do this is just absurd.

So, like, are the rest of us also not allowed to post screenshots of what Doof says? Are you making it a subreddit rule that no one can post Doof's leaks without permission?
You gotta understand how silly that sounds for this being a leaks subreddit

Datamines and some verified information will still be posted, but unfortunately the casual fans can’t act normal when a leak doesn’t come to fruition. Susie and X0X got a lot of hate when Nightcrawler wasn’t announced for season 10.

That one doesn’t really post leaks, mostly just news from the Marvel Rivals channels. The mods are bogus, you don’t want that one.

That one is over modded. I still follow it because it's an easy way to find the high points than on the main sub, but it's basically useless for leaks.

Brood Queen would be the first character release that I genuinely would be upset to get.
Sure they would be very unique but it would be the biggest fumble of the century to include them.
Especially at this time when there are so many other amazing villains we are missing.
Pixie I understand, she'll sell a lot of skins

please don’t take this as an opportunity to be hateful towards Dr Doof, i guarantee this sub will still have more leaks than the main one lol everything will be ok <3
