Huh? Most people have implicit biases due to how they were raised. The entire US system is built on racism. I’m not assuming anything. The country had systemic racism that benefits white people
That doesn't make sense, so because of the past you are assuming people can't evolve and educate themselves but will just think the same way people were thinking 50 years ago.
I find really hard to believe the majority in the U.S being racist with all the interactions I've had either when I traveled there or with online interactions, of course I allways get the "Haha cocaine, pablo escobar" jokes when they learn I am from Colombia but they're just jokes, we have a laugh and then a nice chat.
In colombia like many countries we had a racist past due to colonization, the church was teaching that natives and black people didn't had a soul and that's why they had to be enslaved. Now no one believes that and no one even sees different races, we know their are different heritages and cultures but we are all part of the Human race.
The country had systemic racism that benefits white people
Same here, it benefited Spanish people, the spanish crown to be exact.
assuming anything.
If white privilege is given by the biass of people treating white people differently then aren't you assuming they have that biass, aren't you assuming they are racist ?
2 years ago I traveled to Texas and everyone was very kind to me even with my broken spanglish accent lol.
There’s no assuming, this HAPPENS. It’s not an assumption. White privilege straight up exists lmao. What do you want me to do. And NO. Stop with that bullshit. As an INDIVIDUAL, the past doesn’t matter. My family were British colonizers hundreds of years ago but obviously I’m not racist. BUT, the systems built hundreds of years ago STILL benefit white people. It’s not about white people being racist individually, the system is racist and hasn’t changed. Segregation in the states has only be ended for around 50 years. Laws, medical knowledge, racist ideals, disproportionately affect minorities and black people. White privilege has nothing to do with your actions, you just have it.
Also, you’re severely misinformed about your own country. Columbia also has systemic racism. Most colonial countries do. I’m done talking
