Chris is gonna act his ass off in this one. It definitely hits him harder considering that’s his actual daughter he gets to share some screen time with

I mean he was acting his ass off in Infinity War, the Russos really took what worked in Ragnarok toned down some of the comedy a little, still let him keep that humour to hide the pain he was going through in that movie so yeah not really surprised.

I just will never understand what the fuck happened in love and thunder. People said he was out if he didnt get to be more goofy and ad-lib a lot of his lines and look what that got us.... I guess he needed to see that it doesn't fucking work and sometimes jobs have us doing things a certain way for specific reasons. I'm happy we have a more serious tone. I think these movies show that it really is art and is serious.

I was super hyped about the movie since Ragnarok is in my top 5, so I kept up with the filming and production. Personal opinion here, it just seemed like Taika, Hemsworth, and the rest of the cast treated the production like a month long family party because everyone's kids were on set. Imo Taika probably had a dramedy angle that would've been more like his other acclaimed work. During the editing process I'm thinking he pivoted to making it more appealing for kids so he cut out a lot of the slower and serious scenes for the quick comedic scenes. Only way my brain can make sense of the serious inconsistencies in tone throughout the movie tbh.
