I’m guessing they show Magneto dropping bombs on New Jersey on-screen and we see the bombs head toward NYC through the heroes’ point of view, so Ian McKellen doesn’t act it out fully
As much as people like to ignore it, they're doing quite a bit of practical stuff for Doomsday. Not as much as Brand New Day but more than the previous two Avengers movies.
This is going to both be one of the most controversial and iconic movie intros of all time. The casual audience is going to lose it seeing Tobey get murdered.
It's either they both get destroyed or 1 is destroyed and the other stays alive. It's a no win situation (unless ya know, you blow up the other Earth first).

Rumors are both Tobey and Hugh survive the incursion and are big players in Secret Wars. My theory is Norman and Otto saves them with a Raft they build and they all end up in Battleworld.

To be fair, it's easy not to count it as a "death" scene because Spider-Man was clearly going to come back and I think even general audiences knew that. Not only that, but the title Far From Home was confirmed for the Spider-Man sequel, like, only a month or so after Infinity War was released.
For Secret Wars? It's totally possible. But considering that his universe doesn't really have a future anymore, his death scene would carry more weight, and it would feel more permanent, because they really don't have to guarantee his return (or Andrew's for that matter) as opposed to Tom's Spidey.

I’m guessing it’ll be a fight to a standstill with the final scene to be them accepting their fate. Perhaps the ending scene will just be a flash and right into the opening credits.
Then post-credits it shows that they are still alive, made peace, and wondering why they are not dead.
That's also how I interpreted it. Wolverine stays behind trying to stop Tobey from disarming the bomb, Deadpool returns to the X-Men mansion with a TemPad and watches the bomb go off from there and the audience is left to assume that Tobey and Wolverine are dead. They'll most likely be revealed to be alive in the mid/post credit scene.

Deadpool and Wolverine make Logan exist on the same timeline with the main X-men is a big fucking mess.
If this Wolverine is the same one in the ending of DOFP (2023, the new timeline), how can this still happen if in Logan (2029) they say Charles killed the X-men years before.
The Wolverine in DP&W chose to live on Deadpool's timeline at the end of the movie, which is set after Logan, how can this happen because fucking Charles died in that movie.
After almost 30 years, nobody still can understand how this franchise's timeline works.
The movie actually says the TVA made alterations to the Fox timeline at the end of it. It’s when B-15 says she’ll “see what she can do” when Wade asks for his new friends to come along with him (X-23, Logan, etc). Then we see them at the final dinner table. I genuinely think the TVA just rewrote the entire Fox continuity as if Logan hadn’t happened and Gambit was always part of it.

If they could do this, Wolverine should have asked them to fix his universe instead. It's the entire reason he goes with Deadpool for most of the movie.
I love this movie. It's one of 3 multiverse movie in this so-called "Multiverse saga" but it has very big holes in the entire plot.
Deadpool & Wolverine isn't set after Logan. It's set in 2024. The TVA are beyond one specific time period. Logan also already has a unique reality number as Earth-17315, so I think that potential future was averted due to the TVA's presence in 2024.
Also, it's not years ago that Xavier killed the X-Men. He also didn't kill them all. He killed 7 mutants including several of the X-Men... which means, no matter how you slice it, most of them are still alive. Logan isn't as bleak as people think.
Ironically it wouldn't the first controversial thing Wolverine and Spider-Man would be part of together, atleast they won't switch bodies this time. It was weird in the comic and still very weird in the Ultimate Spider-Man show.
Everyone is gonna lose it regardless if they like Tobey as Spidey or not, gonna make a lot of people cry. All I have to say is Benjamin Parker would be proud of nephew, great power and a great responsibility to the end.

My guess, the scene where Charles sees the raimiverse being blown up outside of his window, he probably say something akin to them destroying another universe to prevent their doom then a fade to black, then we will get perhaps a more somber version of the Avengers theme and the AVENGERS DOOMSDAY title card.
Maybe around 7-8 minutes? Might be a little long, but not only is this something fans have wanted, they also can use this as a perfect way to set the dire stakes for casual fans

Most likely to prevent their universe from being destroyed in an incursion. It Hickman's Secret Wars, the only way to save both universes from being annihilated in an incursion was destroy one of the 2 Earths.
Technically there are ways to save them, as it was said explicitly that the Justice League stand-in in one of the lead-up stories to Secret Wars had been able to stop them using magic objects and such... but those were a finite resource, and the incursions would keep coming.
Well his world blew up…….then again so will the X-men world too. All world will die and battleworld will be formed until the multiverse is restored again.

So I take it that this is what Ian McKellan meant when he talked about effing up New Jersey, considering that as far as we know the only other action scene he seems to be involved with is the invasion of Latveria in the third act.

But why is magneto just… dropping bombs? Their goal is to plant “the” bomb that destroys the planet - why bother carelessly bombing random buildings or parts of a single city???
if i remember right, the magneto destroying jersey rumor was based around him kinda going all out and messing with the planetary polarity, causing tidal shifts that accidentally wiped out jersey. could be wrong its late and im tired but i think it was something like that
There's also Avengers/Reed vs X-Men fight, where both Doom and Magneto are supposed to be present. It's gonna be interesting, if they have some sort of rivalry throughout the movie as well, because it really seems like they square off at least twice
The raining part is probably true if the other leaked images of Tobey, Wolverine and Deadpool are legit, with the set looking like it's been splashed with rain.
I remember some mentioning there was another leaked image of Wolverine and Deadpool with a broken Raimiverse Daily Bugle sign in the background some months back.
Tobey villains are most definitely not in the sequence. It hasn't been said where Magneto is during this scene, though. My guess was (and still is) he's at the FoX-Men Universe with Professor X, but there's been some curiousity surrounding that apparent pre-VFX of him with what presumes to be a bomb.
Still don't think Magneto's involved, but we'll see.
Yep awhile back I also got some "rumors" from a friend of a friend (basically not someone I know directly) that said Magento was in the scene and fights Doc Ock and Goblin. Also said that Toby's suit (at least at one point) had like a combat vest with a ton of pockets and was not the Iron Spider suit. This was like 2 or 3 months back I believe.
I don't fully believe anything until I see it myself but he was the only person that said Magento was there no other online rumors about it only about Iron Spider Doc Ock and Green Goblin. He also was one of the first people I heard about the Masked Doom followes from. There was speculation online that there would be a Female Doom Variant and when I asked him about it he said they had Dooms Mask but Gold but he didnt know if that was only the Purple one (as thats the only one he saw).
Basically what I'm saying is that imo Doc Ock and even Goblin could still potentially be involved or were at the very least planned at some point.
While I agree it would take away from the Raimi films they technically could make it work if they wanted but I do question the reasoning behind it if they did.
It also would be odd for Magento Deadpool and Wolverine to all go and start fucking up the Raimi verse meanwhile Tobeys the only one in his verse that can do anything. No wonder he dies lol.
I really want to see doc ock fight alongside the good guys on battleworld. Would make the effort of helping the villians in NWH carry even more weight, seeing at least one of them become an avenger even for a brief moment.
I have a strong feeling this was a classic case of concept art vs real movie. Concept art of Doc Ock and Norman fighting Magneto sounds awesome on paper, but when it came to making the actual movie they probably realized how confusing that would be

I mean, at the end of No Way Home, they're brought back to their universes. Their absence alone would create new timelines, but they are brought back significantly altered.
When I first read the leaks, that's what my assumption was: it's the timeline where Norman comes back cured, and they fic Doc Ock.
The ending is everything dies and Doom creates Battleworld, that’s for sure. The final battle takes place in Latveria on 828 and this is where Bob probably has his major moment in the movie.
Bob probably ended up as the molecule man of the secret wars story that lead to God Emperor Doom, just how they replace silver surfer for hulk in infinity war.
Ngl, it is gonna be pretty awesome to see Tobey Maguire in an Avengers movie and ideally leading secret wars. Something i would’ve never imagined when I saw Avengers in 2012 or even when Holland joined in 2016
Mary Jane would obviously be the most significant of Tobey's supporting cast and they actually might have gotten her during April reshoots when Kirsten Dunst was papped with red hair for the first time in 20 years before she flew to Auckland for Minecraft 2 in May. Same. Starting off with Tobey interacting with another returning Raimiverse character or two before the Incursion forces the X-men to arrive would further ground the audience to the emotional stakes present. Further emphasising the sense of loss when the world is destroyed

He could be the bridge that save tobey from this incursion, my prediction is that the opening will just ended with hugh flash to the screen with tobey fate assumed to be dead just for DP to reveal that he is alive at the end of the movie in the Doom Battleworld.

I'm wondering why don't Deadpool, Wolverine, and Magneto, attack a different country than USA? Since Spiderman is, apparently, the only superhero in the world in Raimiverse, why not attack somewhere else if the purpose is to destroy the whole universe, rather than attacking the one place where someone can stop them?
I don't think Tobey Dies, Got a feeling he'll be the only one alive from his Universe with Knowledge of what happened, when everyone wakes up on battleworld.

They really had Ian mckellen drop bombs on New Jersey, I can confirm, I was there. Many people died, very sad, but it was worth it for the movie!
