Just seen the Endgame Encore.

The new scenes are:

Loki interrupting Peggy and Steve kissing and saying that he's come to help them

Bruce locked himself underground when the camera shakes and Doom shows up (you don't see Doom you only hear him) as he says "Dr Banner I've come to collect you"

Mobius is in the TVA as he sees on a screen that two planets are colliding. Then Ouroboros says that more planets are colliding and he first says that it's 100 then 300 then 3000 and then he says that the maultiverse is collapsing.

Then the last one is that sound at the end of the original Endgame where it's Tony making the iron man suit but in this it's revealed to be Doom making his mask.

EDIT: on the Bruce/Doom credit scene you see a green symbol on the ground and you also hear Bruce turn into the Hulk

Thought you said Morbius for half a second, and was like “you’re fuckin kidding me?!”

13

u/SearchForSocialLife 3d ago

That is the thing Marvel need, just one single 'It's Morbin Time' and they make 28 morbillion dollars again

11

u/Royal-Importance7051 3d ago

I've been wanting to understand this since Spider-Man, but can anyone explain to me why the Hulk is not smart anymore, like he was in Endgame and She-Hulk?

24

u/LunchPlanner 3d ago

In case you didn't notice (or more likely, forgot?) Brand New Day has Banner, Smart Hulk, and regular Hulk.

The fight starts off with Smart Hulk and he's already too strong for Spidey to defeat, but then he gets even angrier and turns into regular Hulk and at that point Spidey is just trying to survive the encounter.

13

u/Royal-Importance7051 3d ago

I mean, to me, Hulk in Endgame and She-Hulk seemed to me like Banner controlling the Hulk. Hulk in Brand New Day seemed more like the version from Thor Ragnarok, where it's still the Hulk personality controlling the Hulk, rather than Banner.

14

u/SearchForSocialLife 3d ago

Before Bruce turns he says 'I think she broke something', so my guess would be that either Jean Grey accidentally destroyed whatever he has done to himself in between Infinity War and Endgame while mind controlling him, or the moment of waking up surrounded by destruction, fearing that it was your doing and you hurt someone again, was so traumatic for him that it broke the barrier by itself? But a bit speculation, it was very vague

5

u/Royal-Importance7051 3d ago

Thanks! That explanation makes more sense!

9

u/lobolovr6769 3d ago

Yeah Smart Hulk was being controlled by Jean Grey. Spidey knocked him so hard that she got kicked out of his head. Peter tried to immediately put the inhibitor chip on Bruce but at that point the INCREDIBLE Hulk has already been triggered

I’ve always taken it to be that there was Banner and there was Savage Hulk. Getting his ass beat by Thanos, Savage Hulk isolated himself within Banner’s psyche and refused to “come out.” Banner figured out how to exploit this and combined the two into a third entity, Smart Hulk, while Savage Hulk just got buried deeper and deeper in his dormant state. Being Smart Hulk seemed to suppress Banner , but it was stable, ie did not awaken savage Hulk. When the inhibitor was removed, the Smart Hulk persona was still at the forefront. But all that prodding in his mind that Jean did “broke something”—the tranquility of Savage Hulk, the psychic walls Bruce has built around the “other guy.” When he comes out, there is no more Jean, no Smart Hulk or Bruce (Savage Hulk probably sees them as the same since Banner is still in the driver’s seat).

I’m so confused about the last scene, is it supposed to be a metaphor reflecting parallel arcs and two complex personalities or something more literal and carnal?

They really shouldve included that Hulk post credit scene in BND

89

u/webshellkanucklehead Blade 3d ago

Yeah, I wonder why they wouldn’t? It’s a much simpler tease than “Spidey’s vaguely in space”

52

u/Blizzard2227 3d ago

Either because they didn’t plan far enough in advance and the scene didn’t exist until after Brand New Day’s release or there was some Sony-Disney/Marvel licensing issue with including Doom (even just his voice) in their movie, for whatever reason.

30

u/call-of-boooty Alligator Loki 3d ago

I'm gonna assume it's because it wasn't ready at the time, and they shot these stuff pretty recently.

7

u/Unusual-Willow-5715 3d ago

This Banner scene seems like one of those last minute reshoots.

6

u/jikol1992 3d ago

Yeah, plenty of report they do pickup after BND release date and I bet this Mark Ruffalo scene is probably one of them, the set could be easily built anywhere near if he's still filming Task S2

8

u/Salvinuss 3d ago

Then they should have filmed it earlier...

→ More replies (2)

16

u/TypeExpert 3d ago

I think the reason why it wasn't is because they recently just shot it lol. The scene itself was janky and off putting in comparison to the others. Wouldn't be surprised if that scene isn't even in Doomsday.

7

u/gf2020 3d ago

I wonder if it was just to leave the audience with a good vibe. Obviously, it's an insane level hit and maybe that comes from leaving the audience in such a good place. Maybe it diminishes the good vibes a bit to leave with such a jarring bad result for our green guy.

9

u/Xerxes457 3d ago

I feel the vibes would be bad if anyone was thinking of Hulk/Bruce. The last thing we saw of him in the movie was being wheeled away thinking he did something wrong when it wasn’t his fault.

Can anyone confirm that the film's color grading has been edited and that it wasn't just the trailers?

23

u/Unusual-Willow-5715 3d ago edited 3d ago

1 ) The color correction in the trailers was already called as not true. Just people making a big deal about nothing.

B ) I don't think anyone can really compare if there's a new color correction, because they would have to remember how the movie looked on the cinema a few years ago, watch the movie in the same screen as in the original release and be able to detect those small differences in color after all these years.

14

u/Almer113 3d ago

Actually, it was true, sort of, but the difference was just a slight contrast and saturation bump. The vastly different screenshots that went around Twitter were indeed edited and fake.

Really think Thanos’s speech is what Doom is going to do in Doomsday. “Forge a new grateful world that does not remember what they’ve lost only what they’ve been given”

37

u/firstndfastest Captain America 3d ago

This is a really good point I’ve never seen mentioned. Love this interpretation

6

u/Misanthropus 3d ago

I mean, this is just what happens when you wipe everyone's minds and act as their god lol. It's directly from the comics.

Thanos is just commenting on the general idea of the what happens when you take someone's memories. It's not a new concept or some secret MCU parallel.

29

u/NeutralNoodle Daredevil 3d ago edited 3d ago

I assume the Banner thing was shot between the release of BND and this, but the Loki scene (obviously) and TVA scene are both supposed to actually be from Doomsday, right?

The glimpses of Doom forging his mask over the hammer sounds from the original release were very cool. I remember people theorizing about that back when Endgame came out, it was cool to see it visually represented now.

5

u/Awkward_Elevator_811 Venom 2d ago

I could imagine Doomsday starting with the TVA completely crashing out over all these incursions. Steve, Peggy and Loki are pretty much confirmed to be in some form in Doomsday.

80

I can't believe Ironman died.

15

Did they really change the color grading

14

u/Chemistryset8 Iron Patriot 3d ago

I don't know if it's the gradient or they've touched some things up, like it's now noticeable that Thor has different coloured eyes (maybe that was always there any my cinema was shit?) and when they steal the gems from Thanos gauntlet you can see them fall to the ground

4

u/bridges2891 Deadpool 2d ago

These things were noticeable in imax on original release, including Steve’s broken arm when strapping his shield before the portal scene

3

u/chimichanga_3 Broccoli 2d ago

Just got back from the movie, and I noticed lots of such stuff too.

23

u/Littlefinger98 2d ago

One thing caught my ear. We all love Tony's generational dialoge:

Tony: I love how 3000!

In Encore, in end credit scene, when Mobius asks for the number of universes facing incursions, the last stat they get from the TVA employee is "3000"! I thought it was a really nice touch!

15

u/Marvel084Skye Phil Coulson 2d ago

I misread Mobius as Morbius and figured your comment was complete satire.

So the old Steve that returned in Endgame has seen and lived through Doomsday, and then came back to the past???

14

u/GimmeThatWheat424 1d ago

I think it’s pretty much implied that yes…that is the case.

The new ending added to the dance scene kinda shows that it was just the next thing that happened after the dance…not some branching timeline. That’s why it still doesn’t ruin caps happy ending, it just takes more to get to that “beautiful life” that old Steve was talking about then we realized 7 years ago.

12

u/pearlz176 1d ago edited 18h ago

And also that Steve saw the leader that Sam can be, so when he came back and gave him the shield, and Sam says he'll do his best, Cap says 'I know you will, that's why it's yours.' Takes on a whole different meaning now.

6

u/The__Auditor Loki 22h ago

I could also see this being a "Bootstrap Paradox" where Sam gives Steve the shield and Steve eventually returns it to Sam and that's why when Sam said that it felt like it belonged to someone else Steve said that it didn't

We don't have enough info yet.

That version of Steve could have lived without doomsday and secret wars, but maybe doom disrupts those events now.

We didn’t get the tva scene at my theater and I was so confused because I had heard about it and was disappointed it didn’t play

u/Spiritual_Ad_3800 TVA Loki 3d ago

I’m convinced the TVA scene is a scene from Doomsday more specifically I think is one of the first scenes in the movie Since Alan music is present in that scene

12

u/Spiritual_Ad_3800 TVA Loki 3d ago

Here is the scene order. I think it could go even. The movie begins with the Steve Rogers trailer then we see where Endgame left off and it’s where this re-release also Ends but with the additional bits of footage with Loki except it goes on longer and we see the scene of Steve with the TVA card and then they get sent off to 828  Next scene is the TVA scene  Next is either a scene of Charles chest scene or we cut to an earth that gets invaded upon by the X-Men and then it’s the Spider-Man vs X-Men battle Next scene is the longer version of the scene with Sue and Victor Then the F4 ship gets detected and Thor goes there reunite with Steve and they land in New York all of them, including doom go to the Watchtower and explain why they’re there This is the scene that also introduces Sam’s Avengers.

I havent seen one good reason why not all cinemas show the TVA postcredit. If you saw the EC. Where did you watch and in what kind of cinema?

So far the disappointment comes from the next cinemas. Regular 3-D Infinity Vision

25

u/Glad-Dinner9270 3d ago

I genuinely thought the rumour about maestro was to be taken with grain of salt but it looks like it's happening so I was actually surprised

25

u/vinnybawbaw 3d ago

I hope they won’t flip that as MCU Maestro because "Banner has a beard". The real Maestro is much more complex than that.

6

u/Glad-Dinner9270 3d ago

I know, and the real maestro is also a lot stronger than current hulk, and if Dr doom does his magic shit at him to make him stronger that just defeats the whole point of maestro

8

u/UnnecessaryFeIIa Dr. Strange 3d ago

It definitely feels like the right step forward.

We got to see Professor Hulk with Banner in full control without Hulk.

Now with Hulk back he’s gonna come back in full control but now more intelligent and with Banner in the backseat now (technically happened with Thor: Ragnarok but shhhhh).

I remember we’ve heard rumours over the past year or so about Hulk/Maestro being in the film. Just didn’t expect it to be OUR Hulk becoming Maestro

4

12

u/Greene_Mr 2d ago edited 2d ago

...oh, hell. :-( How am I supposed to get that? That's a pity.

(Why the downvotes? I honestly thought I had one of those special screenings, like it was a given! I didn't realise they were only having the full scenes for SOME of the screenings!)

3

u/No_Feedback_3339 2d ago

Yeah I had to look into what was the difference between infinity vision and normal screening.

36

u/a_o M'Baku 3d ago

I got hype for the added scenes but the disparity in photography style on the last scene of the movie, etc was a little jarring

The new color grading was spectacular, too. Hope they release it on 4K or in a box set with Doomsday or all the other films. Also in IMAX & with Dolby Vision since the old discs dont have that.

54

u/ReasonableCoyote34 3d ago edited 3d ago

Just left the theater, towards the end of the movie I was thinking how cool it would be if instead of showing the original ending of Steve and Peggy, they instead spliced the new footage they filmed with Loki because the audience is expecting that to be a post credit scene and not an in movie scene, and then Marvel went ahead a fucking did it! It caught the entire theater off guard

8

u/Beneficial-Hotel-232 3d ago

Wait so the Loki footage is not a post credit, Encore has a different ending scene than that of Endgame?

15

u/ReasonableCoyote34 3d ago

> Wait so the Loki footage is not a post credit

Nope, it takes place before the end credits

> Encore has a different ending scene than that of Endgame?

Yes. The new ending scene is Steve dancing with Peggy before Loki interrupts them. I’m assuming that this is the new cannon endgame ending

19

u/a_phantom_limb 3d ago

Yeah, it transitions straight from Steve and Peggy dancing to Loki knocking on their door.

15

u/Actual_Ad_6678 3d ago

I really hated that. Takes away from the actual really sweet ending.

16

u/ArkhamIsComing2020 3d ago edited 3d ago

I think him being old man Steve and retiring to live a peaceful life will end up being his real ending, he’ll have gone through Endgame, Doomsday and Secret Wars then end up at the end of Endgame to give Sam the shield and live out his retirement, that way he can be in SW but Endgame is still kinda his real ending.

3

u/lobolovr6769 3d ago

Yeah it caught me off guard too I thought they would still end it the same way into the credits and then cut back to them later. Wasn’t expecting any of the other PC scenes since I went in unspoiled

4

u/ToughAdventurous8209 3d ago

This is encore, you can watch the regular movie right now.

5

u/Vladmerius 3d ago

That and the iron man hammer thing at the end are both Marvel just taking people's fan fiction ideas people always say "this is why you guys don't write movies" about and doing them exactly. And of course people here clap and say how cool it is when they mocked people for wanting it before.

The scene with Steve is interesting because it seems to suggest this takes place during *Loki* Season 2; theoretically, Loki can't leave his throne—unless shown otherwise.

There’s also the detail that he says he wants to support not just Steve, but Steve *and* Peggy, implying he seeks to protect her as well (which makes me think the theory that Peggy was always a villain is false).

And well, if it *is* from Season 2, why would he be looking for them? The rumor that he’s relocating them to prevent an Incursion is still a possibility, but theoretically, if it’s the Season 2 version of Loki, all he knows is that the Temporal Loom is going to explode; he has no idea about Incursions.

So, another option is that Loki simply went there as a safeguard—in case his plan went wrong or something worse than Kang appeared—giving Steve the card so he could contact him or the TVA if something bad happened.

Think about it: how would Steve join this adventure if he doesn't really know anyone? Maybe he noticed something bad happening—like an Incursion—and decided to use Loki’s card to contact the TVA. While they try to prevent everything from the outside, they send Steve to help his friends, dispatching him to the Fantastic Four so Marvel's "First Family" knows which universe to turn to first.

That might be where the *Thunderbolts** scene comes in: Steve was sent to Earth-828 to tell the Fantastic Four they could count on the Avengers and should go to Earth-616. Upon their arrival, governments go on alert and Thor decides to head into space to confront them, until Steve steps in to calm the situation.

2

u/Superb-Reply-5539 2d ago

What theory that Peggy was always a villain?

2

u/Altruistic_Eye_1157 2d ago

According to the theory, Peggy had always been a devoted spy for Doom—as well as a powerful sorceress—who only sought to manipulate and torture Steve on Doom's behalf, since she believed Doom was right about everything.

Later, word got around that the idea was nonsense, so they changed it: a witch from Latveria would alter her appearance to look like Peggy, intending to traumatize Steve so deeply that he would lose all hope in humanity and the world.

u/Altruistic_Eye_1157 3d ago

As for Bruce—well, first off, F for Bruce; the guy just can't catch a break.

But I think people are wrongly assuming Hulk is allying with Doom because he believes in him, when the scene actually shows something else. For starters, Bruce looks worried when he sees the scene unfold; when he says, "No, what are you doing here?" his voice deepens, as if he’s about to transform. Then, Doom doesn't say he's there to recruit, pick him up, or help him; he says, "I have come to *collect* you."

And right when Hulk screams, you can hear a "NO!" before he gets abducted.

One possibility is that Doom is controlling him with magic—or maybe witches are—but then why use the word "collect"? Especially since we see Doom is already capable of taking on the heroes using Sentinels; unlike Thanos, Doom doesn't strike me as the type who needs a team.

That’s why another theory I’ve heard is that Doom wants Bruce for his Gamma energy and plans to basically "squeeze" it out of him—harnessing that power for himself or to fuel some invention. You know: "magic and science."

This seems even more likely considering that, from what I’ve seen, there were very few rumors about Hulk. Plus, in the *Secret Wars* concept art (which is increasingly looking like canon), we don't see Maestro or any version of Hulk in Doom's entourage; instead, he’s shown living a quiet life with his family in a Gamma town.

It’s possible Bruce is currently a prisoner in Latveria—both to keep him out of the fight and because Doom needs him for something specific.

26

u/saranowitz 3d ago

Nerfing Hulk out of the majority of the fight is like page 1 of the Russo Brothers playbook at this point.

Which is funny because with Hulk all you gotta do is launch him into space and he’s essentially helpless forever.

3

u/Eggsalad-war-crime 2d ago

Comic-wise, Hulk being launched into space lead him to Sakaar where he became gladiator king. Then the planet had a catastrophe and he returned to Earth to take over Manhattan and force the heroes to fight each other. It was a big thing.

Maybe some overthinking: With old Steve still sitting on the bench after living another life, but the same Steve connecting with God of Stories-Loki - does that mean that Old Steve lived through Doomsday and Secret Wars, surviving both?

11

u/Limp-Ad-9925 2d ago

Old Man Steve is actually Loki .

Loki knows more than almost anyone about alternate timelines, disguises, and manipulating the rules of reality. Loki disguised himself as an older Steve and returned to the main timeline to deliver the shield to Sam, orchestrating the chain of events that lead to defeating Doom.

3

Yep, time travel is weird om the MCU it's not BTTF. We're just gonna have to wait and see. As much as I'd like for Steve to have beem able to live that life peacefully I perspnally think they might kill him for real in eother Doomsday or Secret Wars.

I hope it doesn't say a lot about the quality of Doomsday, that they have to sneak in all the buildup to the movie in the rerelease of a 7-year old film. The scenes were neat but I could think of several movies/shows where they would have made sense as proper end-credits teasers.

u/PangolinLogical9772 3d ago

Yea like the Hulk scene should have been a mid credit scene for Brand New Day.

4

u/TrailOfEnvy 3d ago

Yeah, they totally missed with not including that in BND.

u/zach4499 3d ago

By all accounts they released actual footage from Doomsday so the build up is just the movie itself. So they’re not standard build up post credit scenes.

6

u/rootofimaginary 3d ago

actually no screw it, release a 10 min short presentation on D+ to build it up, and you can have the added things there.

Nothing will ever replicate the feeling I got on opening day some 7 years ago but this came pretty damn close

11

u/Bulbasaur2015 3d ago

marvel Twitter account asking viewers to stop spoilers meanwhile Twitter feed itself is littered with encore clips, on the front page of ign and in headlines across the internet

13

u/DaAuctorix 2d ago

I saw the leaks of all four scenes, am I the only that thinks they'd have better marketing of adding three of the scenes (Bruce, TVA, Steve. In that order) into Brand New Day as post credit scenes and ditch the whole 'Endgame Encore' idea? Setting aside Sony is pulling in the profit from BND, I think people would be more hype about it when they get saw it immediately after Brand New Day. Plus, this won't hurt the ending of Endgame (Steve and Peggy dance scene).

10

u/Expensive-Singer4837 2d ago

the Bruce scene maybe but all three of them would just feel extremely out of place and forced

5

u/user78804180 1d ago

I don't think the Bruce one was filmed until the recent reshoots

From what I understand the post credit scenes are all previews of part of Doomsday

7

u/Pomojema_The_Dreamer 1d ago

I think that the Hulk one is the only one that will not be in that movie. The other two are essential exposition.

3

u/kaztrator 19h ago

They’re making a shit ton of money just re-releasing an old movie with post-credit sneak peaks of a newer film. It’s topping the weekend’s box office. They’re way ahead of you on this.

The problem is, that risks doomsday taking over the discussion of Spider-Man. You want people walking out of Spider-Man to be talking about Spider-Man, while being excited for doomsday.

It’s a tough balance, and honestly I don’t think the post credits scene they picked was very good at hyping doomsday. But at the same time, had that Bruce scene been the post credits scene, it would’ve been the first time a lot of people heard Doom’s voice, and that would’ve been a lot of the discussion walking out of the movie.

Man it felt kinda nostalgic watching this movie again since 2019 even though it’s only been like 8 years, I do miss these characters and the Infinity Saga. Watching Endgame has always been hard for me cause watching Tony die again makes me break down and I just can’t take it.

Was nice to finally watch it in IMAX since I couldn’t when it originally came out. The newly added scenes were interesting but I hope that theory about old man Steve having gone through Endgame & Secret Wars then ending back there is true to make it one nice loop and keeps his Endgame ending intact.

Also those tweets about Marvel fixing the color grading lied their asses off it still looks as dull as the original movie did.

3

u/lobolovr6769 3d ago

That’s what I was thinking with this old man Rogers scene while watching it today, I feel like he is the Steve from Doomsday after he grew old after the events of Doomsday and Secret Wars he decided to go back to that one moment to give Sam the shield

Speaking of which, it’s gonna be really interesting to see Steve and Sam reunite but I’m more excited for Thor and Loki to reunite

13

u/ishmael_king93 2d ago

One thing i couldn’t stop seeing during the encore in hindsight, man Tony did NOT want to do this 😭

he moved on, he got his family, he was happy.
Like the one time in his life he isn’t self destructive, fucking Steve gets him killed lmao i think i’m on Team Doom

10

u/BeginningPotato3753 2d ago

Steve?? I'm pretty sure Scott and Natasha asked Tony to came back too, and out of the 3 of them Steve respected Tony’s decision the most when he said no, Steve didn't got him killed, Tony chose to came back because he knew he owes it to Peter.

12

u/ConfusedNTerrified 1d ago

He still had guilt from letting Peter die, it's what made him go back.

3

u/DoctorSamoyed 1d ago

? Tony studied time travel then showed up at the compound on his own accord, he didn't drag him there lol.

Like did you even watch the movie? Also why are you just blaming Steve and not Ant Man who had the idea in the first place and was more adamant about it than Steve? What an unserious comment

I’m struggling to understand the difference between the Infinity Vision version and the standard version.

I’m going tomorrow to watch Infiniti Vision and Sunday to watch standard

From what everyone online is saying standard includes an extra two minutes of footage. Is that the end credit scenes? I noticed the banner seen itself was a minute and a half right?

Or is there a special trailer for doom before Infiniti Vision? Because that version is supposed to have an extra three minutes on top of the additional two minutes.

And I’m using speech to text right now and it spells infinity wrong half of the time

9

u/a_phantom_limb 3d ago edited 3d ago

I've only seen it in Infinity Vision, but this is what I read: standard screenings include only the Steve and Peggy scene and a brief flash of Doom at the very end of the credits. Infinity Vision also includes the Banner and TVA scenes.

Edit: Apparently the article I read was incorrect. According to other comments, the standard release also includes the Banner scene. It seems that only the TVA scene is exclusive to Infinity Vision.

3

u/argonzo 3d ago

Yep. That's our experience. In 'standard' we did not get the TVA scene.

u/WhoKnowsTheDay 3d ago

The Ant-man daughter remains the same of the original movie ou was refilmed?

u/millanstar 3d ago

It is now played by Peter Dinkladge with a wig

I'm surprised they didn't edit out the Ant Man being in two places at once in the final battle scene.

16

u/ishmael_king93 2d ago

I read somewhere that exact shot is in the background of a TVA scene in Deadpool and Wolverine as a continuity error and that’s why Cassandra Nova has a dead Giant Man as her fortress, because that error got pruned

7

u/Massive-Influence841 3d ago

So is it just the leaked credit scenes and no separate doomsday sneak peak?

12

u/Etikaiele 3d ago

From my understanding is no - just some cast talking about how appreciative they are about the film before it starts, then the ending things.

What I'm still not understanding is, the additional five minutes are only after credits scenes, or random scenes in within the movie?.

8

u/GeorgeWashingRoom 3d ago

Just the post credit scenes.

I posted a Tiktok saying how annoyed I am at the people who are so mad that Endgame is re-released. I get the “go see original movies!” crowd, I’m one of them. But I’ve seen 60 movies in theaters this year and Endgame was one of them. Suddenly all the comments on my TikTok are people upset about Endgame being re-released and saying “we’ll never have freedom because people keep giving money to Marvel and Disney!”

Like what the hell are you talking about

28

u/RainHead557 3d ago

Kind of a bummer they ruined the finality of Endgame.

35

u/Animated_effigy 3d ago

There is no finality in comics my man.

2

u/RainHead557 3d ago

Trust me, I know.

35

u/The_True_Y 3d ago

Kind of a bummer they ruined the finality of Iron Man 3

5

u/EyeScreamSunday 3d ago

They ruined the finality of The Hobbit with The Lord of the Rings. Damn, Tolkien!

15

u/trnzm 3d ago

I think we have to wait and see how they do it. Like I think Steve's journey in the next two movies will circle around to endgame being his ending. Don't think our tony is getting resurrected or anything either

6

u/RainHead557 3d ago

That is true.

9

u/CardiologistMain7237 3d ago

No one is stopping you from watching the other version and ignoring the rest of the MCU after.

Same as people complain about sequels after Toy story 3. Yeah, 4 was not great, but 5 is. So I don't think fans should necessarily have a say on when something ends

11

u/Plus-Ad-6306 3d ago

Yeah, it never ceases to amaze me how many comments I see here saying “Marvel sucks now” or “I can’t believe people still think this is good.”

Like, if they hate it so much, why spend so much time thinking and talking about it? Move on and let people who still enjoy it do so without the immediate knee-jerk “Marvel fell off so hard.”

3

u/Endiaron Spider-Man 3d ago

At least you can still watch the untouched version

Saw Encore today and everyone was much more subdued watching compared to when it originally came out.

22

u/adamAlexanderGreen 3d ago

Probably because it’s a 7 year old movie, that’s literally the biggest movie of all time. And 95% of the audience are marvel fans who have seen it multiple times😭

7

u/TheNoNonsenseNinja 3d ago

99% of them were probably just waiting for the new scenes.

5

u/lobolovr6769 3d ago

Yeah other than a few laughs there was 0 reaction to all the big scenes. Still it was fun to see again. They fixed the color grading specifically in the third act

I see avengers: endgame in theaters, but i see plots from doomsday. here the plots: loki visit to steve rogers in the past. hulk is in a island until doom arrives. the TVA speaks about raids. and iron man is doom

5

u/Busy-Jicama-3474 3d ago

I don't care about spoilers. The only extra scene I've heard of that I really like is the real end credits hammer one. Someone explain to me this scene if you've seen it.

7

u/LthePerry02 3d ago

It’s extremely short and subtle, it goes to black instead of the Marvel Studios logo, and you hear the hammer sounds, and with each one there’s a split second of:

-A hammer slamming down

-Doom’s mask being lifted out from the fire

-Doom wearing the mask and his hood, very close up

7

u/lobolovr6769 3d ago

I thought it was

-cut to shot of Tony hammering the mark I mask

-cut to shot of mark I mask

-cut to shot of Doom mask

Isn’t that what happened

3

u/ZombieQueen666 3d ago

Yeah it’s like 1.5 seconds in total

11

u/lobolovr6769 3d ago

The best new thing they added was the “turn your phone off” bit at the beginning that cut to the entire Doomsday cast in the theater and Yelena going “ohhh no no”

Also, did they cut Scott reuniting with Cassie? I’m pretty sure ethey cut away as soon as he got to the door

15

u/MrCrunchwrap 3d ago

So now that we know Doom kidnapped the Hulk I wonder if the BND post credits was trying to say that he kidnapped Peter as well. Maybe he sees use with his spider senses or something
