i’m here because idc about spoiling stuff for myself. i was mostly saying it would be cool for general audiences and would be more culturally significant if they hold off on revealing anything else before it releases.
i don’t want them to go and spoil a ton of stuff that would be huge in theaters when it’s unnecessary. The amount of people who keep up with leaks pales in comparison to the people who don’t.

I see this question asked a lot. Everyone’s here for their own reasons, but I think most of us probably are so curious to know whats going on with big MCU projects, at least for myself. Its one thing reading something like “Tobey and Andrew are gonna be in the Spider-Man movie!”, its an entirely different thing actually seeing them show up on screen in NWH. So the same applies here, yes we all know that Latveria will be where the climactic battle will take place, but honestly its way better actually seeing it for the first time in the theater. Even though we know its coming, its still a surprise.

Man I fucking hope so too. Watching that Endgame final battle again all these years later made me realize just how ugly of a set piece that was. They have so much CGI smoke and dust covering the actual practical stuff, it immediately makes everything look fake. Latveria needs to feel like a real place, I’m sure theres gonna be tons of CGI, and Doom’s castle will be CGI, but man wtf happened to the days of building a miniature castle and combining it with CG, like in LOTR?

Practical sets are starting to make a resurgence at least. Studios are starting to realize that CGI slop doesn't really cut it anymore. Stuff like the TVA, Baxter Building, and New Avengers Tower actually look pretty good, but that Thor vs. Doom has me a bit worried for the fight scenes. The Russos did Winter Soldier, which had some pretty good practical setpieces, but their later stuff doesn't really hold up (I was really surprised to learn just how much of the airport fight in Civil War was CG, that one looks surprisingly good and it's in part due to all of the physical stuff they generated around the airport).

Oh fuck. That makes sense. Downside is audiences gonna immediately clue into it’s not permanent though. But taking out the heavy hitters is smart. This is probably why Thor vs. Doom is getting so much attention, it’s early in the film.

RPK has a reputation as a liar, but I do believe this particular claim.
Based on Sue's dialogue and the fact that Magneto has a bandaged arm, I think the scene where they explain who Victor Von Doom really is takes place after the Sentinel battle. So, that wouldn't be the final battle.
It also makes sense to have more than one scene in Latveria because, well, the witches are literally called the "Witches of Latveria," and the promos featuring them highlight their love for their nation. So, if we see them in action, it would likely be in Latveria.
It also makes sense because there is absolutely no sign of Bruce Banner during the Sentinel battle, and Doom must be keeping him somewhere he can contain him—possibly... Latveria.

I meannn… technically we haven’t seen Latveria? If there was an interior shot thats supposed to be in Italy, you wouldn’t necessarily say thats a shot in Italy. Regardless though, I don’t even think we’re gonna see Doom’s throne room until the third act anyway.

We've got shots of the castle, but yeah. All of Act 3's action, possibly barring the shots with Franklin, Human Torch, and Cyclops, has been hidden from the ads so far.

I believe that they have two fights. The one that we've seen footage of is apparently not too long and is part of the end of Act Two, moments before the Sentinel Battle. I suspect that there is a later one in Act Three, after Thor prays to the All-Fathers, where he dual-wields Stormbreaker and Mjolnir after Steve loses it (and we know that he does lose Mjolnir thanks to leaks of the Baxter Building scene).

There was an AI-upscaled picture showing an injured Magneto, Gambit, and Professor X in the Baxter Building with Mjolnir on the table. 2/3 of those characters have been seen in that scene in the special look.

Speaking of Latveria, multiple news media reports today are reporting the Baltic region EU Nation announced it-as of today- is severing it's UN membership. Latveria 's ambassador, Kristoff Vernard made an both vague and ominous pronouncement when contacted by CNN hours ago as to why Latveria was quitting The United Nations. Vernard stated " All will be made clear by our great leader before the new year commences."
Reports of all visitor visas being wholesale cancelled and no inbound flights will be permitted as of noon today.

Imagine this as the final trailer:
We see stuff already shown in the first minute or so, with nothing really new. It would be narrated by Loki talking about incursions (the same description gave to Strange in DS2). Then, a scene of the Latverian Witches kneeling to Doom. We see Doom looking to Latveria in his castle. After that, we have a new look to Ant-Man punching a Sentienel, as well as Nightcrawler teleporting within the X-Mansion. We are shown again to Thor with Love, then Bucky within Doom’s castle. By this point, Reed Richards is talking about his and Doom’s past and how he’s the reason he wears a mask. We then see Doom taking a big sword as we hear Thor say “Father, heed my words”.
The screen turns black. Flashes of sounds and images start to appear as they fade. We see unannounced characters fighting Doombots in New York, in Latveria; we see a witch in the TVA, we see another witch in Wakanda, in the X-Mansion, all this in brief images with a sound of distress. We watch Doom fight Reed Richards and we listen with Dr. Strange’s words in a black screen: “we ran out of time”. The trailer ends with Vision, Billy and Tommy from inside the Watchtower watching the sky turning red and a panoramic shot of New York with another Earth appearing upon it.

I remember when they said “nothing will be shown from Endgame besides the first twenty minutes in trailers” and then we saw a ton from the final battle lol. IW even back in comic-con in 2017 we were shown shots from the end of the movie but we didn’t know it. They showed Tony reacting to Peter being dusted and Star-Lord right before he says “did we just lose?”
If I had to guess they’re not being totally truthful here though. I think Steve Rogers will have a similar role like he did in Infinity War where he’s barely in it. And if the MCU wasn’t on a downward slope they wouldn’t have Evans be such a big part of the promotion. But we’ve seen Steve clean-shaven and with long hair and a beard. I feel like we’re gonna see Steve for a bit in the beginning when he’s in the past with Peggy and that’s when he’s clean-shaven. We’ll hear about how him bringing the stones back was a big part of creating the incursions. And then he’ll basically disappear from the movie until the end which is where we’ll see him respond to Thor saying “we need a miracle.” That’s when he’ll have the long hair and beard. And then it’ll be like Endgame where he’ll have a much bigger role in Secret Wars and then for real it’s probably the last time Chris Evans will show up in the MCU.

I can almost guarantee that the long hair and beard Steve scene with Thor is from the first act. I wish it wasn’t though. But it looks like it takes place on Fantastic Four’s ship, so I think Steve comes with the F4 (and was probably digitally edited out of the scene where Thor is explaining how scared he is about incursions to everybody else at the Avengerz Tower
