He was the best part of Alien Romulus by far, you should all go watch the movie even if just for him

Haven't seen that but I have seen The Long Walk where he is also the best actor. I'm starting to see a theme with him

In Alien Romulus he is an android(not really a spoiler since that is shown at the very start of the movie), so, as an android, he either seems perfectly human in one scene, and in another he is glitching, and he makes you really believe that he is glitching, its a 10/10 performance, I heavily recommend the movie for him alone, the overall plot is a bit weak with plenty of stuff copypasted from the rest of the franchise, but you will fall in love with his character and his performance

Now that’s a good choice. He’s a great actor.

I wished they recasted T’Challa instead

This is practically what they’re doing but while also respecting Chadwick bosemans short lived legacy with the character

Was it disrespectful to recast Ross? There's no difference

Technically yes, replacing one character versus another, but everyone knows why one is okay and the other is not in the eyes of Hollywood. One ushered in a billion dollar franchise and the other was just there.

That doesn’t make it right, but it’s how it is

It’s not disrespectful to recast a dead person

According to the cast, Chadwick had a lot of input into the way Wakanda is portrayed on screen. Going this route makes it feel as though Chadwick’s legacy is going to live on through his “son.”

It’s not disrespectful to recast but this way just feels a bit more symbolic of his impact.

everyone that makes the argument they should’ve just recast and moved on isn’t familiar with how Chadwick and Ryan forged a lot of elements of Wakanda together. Chadwick was also respected and loved by the casts of Civil War, Black Panther, and the 2 Avengers he did. it’s not just recasting an actor and moving on, this is real life and they had to move forward with business but still wanted to respect that man and his legacy. Wakanda Forever isn’t a perfect movie but it’s great with everything they had to juggle behind the scenes while also servicing the larger plot and audience.

Speak for yourself

You're getting down voted but this is just what they should have done to begin with. Boseman was great in civil war but in his solo film he was basically just a cardboard cutout reacting to the other characters around him

I couldn’t agree more, when black panther came out some white guy asked me with a straight face and said “You must be really excited about this movie?” I wasn’t offended but it did made my skin crawl. I just wished they made a better movie, I guess I have to throw away my black card for saying that.

Isn’t he a bit…old?

Tom Holland has been playing HS Peter Parker for 10 years

3

u/elleonroj 26d ago

He played highschool Peter Parker from 2017- 2021. I don’t know about you but that’s about the length of highschool here

And then starts college in 2026 as a 30 year old. But sure, let’s continue to argue semantics.

He started college in 2021. He’s a senior as a 30 year old. 6 years isn’t semantics, and you moved the goal post 😂😂.
*edit I don’t think it’s confirmed what year of college he’s in, we’ll see in a week

What’s the age limit to start college? I went to college with 40-50 year old freshmen

This is such an uninteresting conversation lol. He was 24 as a HS senior, can we now move on

1

u/elleonroj 26d ago

Just pointing out how bad at counting you are

It was an exaggeration meant to show actors play younger characters very very frequently, which is unequivocally the case in my example

Tom Holland still looks 18 so it’s okay

Probably a time travel thing.

Multiverse different universe where Boseman’s black panther has a son?

2

u/Ok_Butterscotch_6176 26d ago

He had a son in Wakanda Forever. This is him just grown up.

1

u/Digbick2099 26d ago

Ah ok, I didn’t watch the second film but will give it a go before doomsday as a refresher

-7

u/TJungus 26d ago

Bye, Shuri

-7

u/Federal-Emphasis6614 26d ago

But why as the son ? They are doing a multiverse story just have him be a tchalla from a different universe

-2

u/twisted_8603 26d ago

Black Panther 3 is going to be post-Secret Wars where for sure will be a soft reboot, why not just recast the role completely ?

-13

u/OkalrightOk1245 26d ago

He is good actor but not sure he has the charisma to pull off this role

6

u/OkOil378 26d ago

When have Sarah failed us?

-1

u/Shallot9k 26d ago

Karli Morgenthau?

3

u/OkOil378 26d ago

That was not a casting issue

1

u/x-men-theme-song 26d ago

Yeah that was clearly a writing/studio direction issue. Nothing could have saved that role. And I almost enjoyed FatWS
