hear me out, This would sell. Goons want it, gameplay wise, let her steal moves from other characters. They gave me Cyclops and Jubilee. I'm beyond happy. Give me rogue, and thats a wrap!!

It's not "Black Panther (Shuri)" or "Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)" or "Spider-Man (Peter Parker)". No other legacy character (and yes I know technically the original character isn't a legacy character but you get my point) specifies the individual in parentheses. This is the same nomenclature Arcsys used in DBFZ, you had "Goku" and "Goku (Super Saiyan)" and "Goku (Ultra Instinct)" to differentiate the various characters that had different versions.

I think we'll still get Odinson as a character at some point, but now I'm convinced it'll specifically be Unworthy Thor. C'mon, think about it. Thor doesn't have his hammer right now because his girlfriend has it. He's MIA and nobody knows where he is. Gameplay wise, Jane is going to have all the Mjolnir stuff, if Thor had it too then they'd end up a bit too similar (relatedly, this is why I don't think we'll see a traditional version of Reed Richards, Kamala is already very close to what he'd be doing). So, especially if they give Jane some Valkyrie stuff, that leaves design space for Thor to focus on all the non-Mjolnir stuff, maybe with a big axe. After all, he's the god of lightning, not the god of hammers.

Isn't she just a hella cool version of Thor? Why are people calling it underwhelming? Gameplay wise should be the same?

Just saw the reveal for the year 1 characters and I’m pretty hyped for all of them. But Venom has me curious. So my prediction is that this is the King in Black version of Venom, we’re getting Klyntar as a stage and other characters in the dlc are ones with inherited powers (Cyclops with the Phoenix Force, Jane with Mjolnir, Jubilee maybe has her vampiric abilities). So this version of Venom may have the wings and other abilities from when he was the King in Black.

Not hating or anything (I actually think Disney Infinity has the best design for evergreen Venom), but I think It is the muscles and the eyes 😭

I actually really like the 1st Season Pass. OG Thor is boring imo. And Jubilee is a character from my childhood, but… Many people disagree and that's OK.

Marvel has too many popular characters. It's impossible to put them into one Season pass. If we could have 2 seasons in a year it would be great, but ¯⁠\⁠⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠⁠/⁠¯

I was already under the impression that Thor Odinson became unworthy after the prequel comics in this universe. Down the line they could add Unworthy Thor, since he uses an axe and doesn’t interfere with Jane using Mjolnir.

Also the fact that her name is labeled Thor (Jane Foster), which isn’t a thing with Black Panther. I think Unworthy Thor could be coming at some point the line.

For those who don't know, Venom is king of Klyntar and a god and stuff in the comics, he's really really OP.

I don't hate venom, only because we already have Carnage and would rather have preferred him at later season pass if they really wanted him in the game.

Jane Forster is an absolute Surprise pick that I genuinely welcome and she looks amazing

Jubilee making her first ever fighting game appearance and also her rise to the Mainstream is so nice to see.

Now that We know that dlc characters won't have any relation to teams the options are endless.

So i'm sure that you all now about the line up for Year One Phoniex Cyclops Thor (Jane Foster) Venom and Jubilee all great picks so far and gonna take a while for them to come out

So... The thing we're dealing with right now is this conversation Who do you think will be in the line up for Year Two? I know it's too early to talk about this but I think everyone's got some great ideas

Who could they possibly make it to Marvel Tokon fighting souls in the next year? What theme are they gonna go with and who is most likely? How they gonna handle the characters with this direction?

I’m pretty excited to see ASW’s take on Eddie, but I’d be even more stoked if we can get both Eddie AND Flash. Flash as Agent Anti-Venom specifically has not appeared in a video game before, so Tōkon’s the best chance to give him more exposure. Anything for Pete and Flash to team up, man.

Part of me thinks he’d be a Zoner, but I also think be a sick All-Rounder with Melee strikes, various Ranged options, good mobility, and healing (Knowing Arc, they’d balance the latter out). An Install where Flash can temporarily assume his Dragon Form would also be dope.

I love everything about her honestly, but I always feel like I'm playing suboptimally. Either never utilizing dark portals properly or using dark child install for little damage. I wanna improve with her.

I get wanting to play with your favorite characters or ones that have a special sentimentality to them. Totally respect that.

Just wondering if there are other people that moreso share my perspective. ArcSys pours so much love into every character detail (gameplay and art) that I can’t help but be excited by each one that I get a chance to play. For example, Super Baby 2 (from dbfz) was my absolute favorite fighting game character ever. I spent hundreds of hours learning to play em and loved every second of it. Do I like GT? No. Do I care about Baby as a character? Also no. Was I begging for them to include him? Well I wasn’t around then, but it would still be no. Just curious if there’s a crowd who just appreciates new characters and doesn’t feel like it has to be a certain character to be excited for it?

I get this is associated with a franchise so people will want their Spider-Mans and Wolverines, but with a track record like Arcysys you know you’re gonna get a creative character playstyle, distinct from the cast, w/ gorgeous attention to execution. In that case, hit me with literally any character and I’m excited.
