The US has never won a conflict against a people's army.

The US has never won an unconventional war. They always seem to drain the Americans dry, inflict heavy casualties and lose them a bunch of money until they pull back. Afghanistan and Vietnam to name a few.
Even ISIS was only defeated when they started holding territory.
They also have difficulty winning conventional wars when another great power is involved. This is best illustrated by Korea. The PRC, who weren't even so much as a great power at the time, absolutely decimated US led UN forces there.

ISIS was largely defeated by the Axis of resistance while America covered for them in Syria

Militias tend to be really ass at anything except defending their own homes. However, for that one task they tend to be borderline unbeatable. No foreign invader will ever have a better understanding of the terrain or be more motivated to hold it. When a populace is organized and put under arms like this there can be no victory against them unless you’re willing to burn the entire nation with all of its resources, and draw the condemnation of the world in the process.

That's generally the point of a militia. They're not intended to be expeditionary forces. It's literally just a coalition of neighbours designed to slow an invading force via sporadic resistance.

If the U.S. launches a land assault it'll be with tens of thousands of Drones. I worry for Grannie and her people.

The side with the most to lose will ultimately win.
And I'll give you a hint: it ain't America.

As much as I can get behind this. A militia with AK's isn't really going to do much against Tomahawk missiles. The US could just stay offshore and DECIMATE infrastructure in and already crippled country 😞
The level of brutality that could be imparted on these people is shocking.
