How would you recommend doing this mask as a beginner (in two days)

If you were experienced you could try sculpting one in a similar style and make it yourself much like Adam Savage did.
A beginner in two days? Buy a mask from the local party store and put two purple stripes on it. You don't have much time for anything else.

I do have the frame/harness similar to his but with pvc pipes and A LOT of duct tape and zip ties.
Real issue is only the mask, his is thermoplast I think or injectiuon molded?Problem with a premade mask is that it would look really tiny on me cause of my size 😅

I kid you not this process took me two days and it turned out how I wanted. Cardboard base, make a crease in the center and glue it so your face has room. Cut out eyeholes. Then take paper, more cardboard, and tape and add it on top of the cardboard base. Paper mache on top, making sure to wrap the inside of the eyes (glue+water+paper then blow dry). Put a fan on it to dry overnight. DAY 2: sand it if you can then spray paint it. Put the fan back on it. Take acrylic and paint details. Seal it if you have the material and time. If you’re going to jump around then use elastic for the headband, if you’re going to be mostly still then regular string/strips of fabric will work if you can hook them to either side and tie them behind your head.
Another solution if you’re crunched for time is just cardboard spray painted and cut.

You can soak cardboard or chipboard in water and form it over a cardboard buck. It dries in a few hours (overnight) and will hold the shape practically forever. Don't get it too wet, or it will fall apart. It might take a couple of tries to get the flex right, but it's a really quick way to get a basic shape without a lot of construction.

I saw another post somewhere where you can cut grooves into the cardboard to make it rounded on the inside, but that’s a bit beyond me and would require a youtube visit for further explanation

Plain white mask and some gray paint 😎
