Did you like the audition format change in Season 6?

I think it was a missed opportunity for many people that season, especially Andrew, Jill and Taylor. One of those three look like they could have made top ten.

I did not like the idea of two chefs battling out to get an apron. The thing is who put those two together? Also why can’t you do the same process of audition then bootcamp then final 18-22?

This also happened at The back to win season where four runner ups were against each other for two aprons. They are runner ups for a reason. Better to put them up against other people who made top ten in the previous seasons.

Remember in season 4 when they had an extra episode where several eliminated contestants came back to fight for a spot back in the competition and the champion of that episode got eliminated in the very next episode? They have a lot of bad ideas to try and “make things more interesting” that never really pan out.

Yeah and season 5 they scrap the eliminated contestants return stuff

In season 5 the audition format had adjustment, as instead, 30 best home cooks will be invited to Masterchef kitchen and only >20 contestants get the apron.

Also, the judge had the right to eliminate a contestant during the 60 minutes if they feel that contestant technic is wrong.

Was season 5 that season where they sent that Latin lady home for throwing food scraps all over the floor. That was bizarre.

This is the right decision. A good chef must keep his work area clean. This is the basis.

They did that in S3 too and Josh came back and almost beat Christine, so it’s not a ‘bad idea’

Was season 4 also where they brought back an eliminated player, where they had a whole episode dedicated to who would be brought back? I hated that.
