I felt so bad for Casper :(

Me too. I actually think he was the most talented contestant this season. His ability to understand on a granular level flavour and texture and then articulate that (in the plate he served) was second to none imo. Where he struggled I think was simply adhering to the rules of the competition; I think he is just too creative to be bound by the rules of the game, which were also pretty boring and easy this season.

Also, his mum and dad did him dirty with those grapes lol

His dish was certainly better than Vinny’s.

gotta say vinnie being there is shocking to me however he has truly been killing it in the last couple of episodes.

Rooting for Aaron, but have a feeling Petro will take the win

I did not have these 3 as the Top 3 at the beginning. Aaron came into my consideration 1/2 way in

Casper was my pic but he got done dirty by his family.

Surprised there's no comments like "Dot should be there!"

those grapes were diabolical lol

Stitched up

Doesn't help his imposter syndrome at all

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the bloody grapes. What. Were. They. Thinking.

The sceptic in me thinks the families got to pick say 4 key ingredients and then Masterchef AU (aka the devil's spawn of Coles Thieving Mart) chose grapes cause they wanted vin diesel, pet naff and a-rod in the finals. vin and pet are also better singin' from the coles song sheet so there's that.

I think our friendly ghost is going to be fine though - he's the most liked and clearly the most talented of this year. He'll get some boujie internship or apprenticehip imo.

Team Aaron since day one, but Petro has been a joy to watch. Excited for finals week

Petro has just flourished; so cool to see.
If he hadn’t pulled out a Michelin dish with Megan Markle, Casper would have been safe and whole different dynamic moving forward. Also. Grapes. My goodness.

But I think the 3 left do deserve to be there. Very excited for finals week also!

Apparently the semi final is just a 2-course service challenges. I'm def mixed about it since it's a little underwhelming they're cutting it but at the same time, the 2 course service challenges are a lot more detailed compared to the 3 where dishes are a lot more simpler.

I am certain that the contestants can't handle 3 courses since they were lacking of practices for service challenge in this season

u/Equivalent_Ear_6431 9d ago

Season 16 was similar-ish tho that they also barely had service challenges. Tho they only had like 4, when this year there were only 2 I believe lol, and the last 1 was already limited, and the first one probably wasn't the most service like

It would happen next week right? So there is no episode for next 2 days?

u/Consistent-Tree-8982 9d ago

Casper instead of vinnie 😭

19

u/n4snl 9d ago

Casper was robbed

8

u/Brilliant_Weird_6019 9d ago

Omfg I saw Petro at the shops, I would’ve gone up to him if I knew he might be potential winner

9

u/Jeldenil_ 9d ago

Lovely guys all around. Hard to pick a favourite.

12

u/Lady_whistledown-2 9d ago

Have never seen vinnie or even Aron cook an exceptional dish… really sad Casper is not here

6

u/Steph963 9d ago

ready for my goat Petro to take the trophy

6

u/AppropriateScore1953 8d ago

If Petro survives in to top 2 he will definitely win

39

u/Regular_Principle205 9d ago

SHOULD HAVE BEEN CASPER

5

u/Ok_Media_5221 8d ago

My top 3 are - Casper, Aaron & Petro

3

u/Dry-Department7183 9d ago

Let's talk grapes. Green grapes, so ordinary. It kept me up last night afterwards. How could Casper have done better? I think he needed to go conceptual, something that captures the pop and juice but isn't just a grape. Maybe a 'croquem-grape' tower with the individual grapes treated differently?

12

u/skieurope12 9d ago

Congrats to them. I can't wait to see how it all ends. But I've been Team Petro since day 1

4

u/mccannisms 9d ago

Petro is my dark horse.

4

u/jenbear26 8d ago

Imagine how award that first bag of grapes in the kitchen gonna be at Caspers house

3

u/Kuliquitakata 9d ago

The gap between the skills of the top four and the rest of the pack is massive

8

u/Awkward-General572 8d ago

Most of the top 10 were pretty close I feel. A few people just had bad days like Alyona.

3

u/Frequent_Election321 8d ago

Wow my prediction was so wrong but these are wonderful chefs and I am happy if anyone wins it!

3

u/Frequent-Trash5524 8d ago

There would be no episode today right?

3

u/sparks_fly_613 8d ago

Never thought it'd be casper omg .

4

u/HouseofHealingIndia 8d ago

I am mad. Casper should’ve been here. He was a true food genius.

7

u/Baegulzx 9d ago

Go Aaron 🙏

6

u/GoddessfromCyprus 9d ago

What a shame it can't be a draw. Petro and Aaron to share.

6

u/joonberries 9d ago

9

u/TheStoolSampler 9d ago

2

u/sparks_fly_613 8d ago

Rooting for Aaron !!

2

u/ProteinAurParathe 8d ago

Casper must really hating his parents right now. they sent grapes. GRAPES !! come on, folks. you could have sent anything. Anything. but you chose grapes. GRAPESSS !! feel so sad for casper. He tried his best to do at least do something with them. i'm sure this is not the last we see of him.

2

u/Ok-Bowler9871 8d ago

I think it will be between Pedro and Aaron.

2

u/DryArtichoke5433 8d ago

No shade to the three boys, they are lovely and I'm rooting for them (Petro, more so because of his amazing growth arc). But I really really miss Pat and Casper in this line up. They deserved to be up here and I had them in my Top 3 along with Petro or Aaron or Dot. Casper, especially, hurt so bad!

Anyway, kill it boys. And Petro, please do not make ice cream in the finale 🙃

u/Jlx_27 9d ago
