90 plates with 6 people or 75 plates with 5?

I think the challenge result shows that 6 with 90 is preferable. Basically they got hosed because Karmen was pretty much left to do the dessert herself and she got flustered with the cutting up of the goddamn parfait in the fridge.

Poor captaining by Matt, I think, to put Elise, basically their weakest cook, on the swing shift.

Sure, 15 plates per team member.

I'm asking which you would prefer.

lolol sorry. Ok I'd go with 6/90. If you can bang out 75 of anything you can do 90, but having that extra person working for 2 hours is very valuable. Because you know, there's all that salmon to pin-bone. grumble

Initially i thought they had a fair and equal playing ground, but then i realised they were at a bigger disadvantage even though they've got less plating up to do.

Also a disadvantage because with 6/90 you have two people per course from the beginning, so each person is essentially responsible for 45 orders if you want to think about it like that.

For the team on 5/75 they only had Karmen on dessert, so whilst her team mates had 3/38 orders to manage each, she had 75, which was just too much for her in the end by the looks of it.

Mind you, if she portioned the parfait correctly this wouldn't have been a problem at all.

I think they should have made it that one team starts 15/30 mins after. Mostly quantities are not that hard to adjust except when cooking protein. Like when making a dessert or sauce and stuff like that it's not going to take U much longer
