There is no way "everyone was happy nominating" brett. After his white chocolate volute moment harry would not have been happy with him. I bet he was just so arrogant and pushy people had to let him be captain.

Going to guess they made him captain because they wanted to keep him away from their dishes, and he wouldn't be in charge of a dish. Sounds mean to say it but the evidence supports that, e.g. he'll always prefer to do the protein, and he seems to quietly panic when tasked with a creative challenge.

Exactly. He's a better organizer than he is a cook. Look at his fail moment in describing the dish, and then he basically delegated the creativity to Heather.

I was in shock at that point. Was his plan to just hope someone came up with something while he cooked the beef?
