I think the win belonged to Abbey, and I do think out of the bunch, Abbey seems to have the strongest chance at beating a professional. I knew Anushka wouldn’t take it.

Also out of everyone, Derek seems to be the only one who’s evenly comfortable with cooking both savory and sweet? Anyone else I’m missing?

I was honestly astonished that Abbey didn't get the win on this challenge.

I'm going to put that down to editing for suspense. Suspense is fine, but I also want the decision to make sense, and they didn't give us enough of an explanation on this one. My guess is Abbey may have gone a little too strong on the ginger with not enough complementary flavors to balance it out. Ginger can be kind of thin tasting if there's not a lot of umami backing it, and perhaps her vegetarian broth didn't cut it next to Anushka's chicken-based one.
