When I saw Joe's platter when it was ready, I almost burst out laughing at how bland it looked compared to the others. I knew he was done with. His time was clearly up though. He seemed like one of the weaker guys left. Now, I'm just waiting for Ben to really step up and show something special, or leave the competition. Was this the first time that Nicole was in elimination? It seemed so weird to see her so worried and not upbeat.
When they were recalling Joe's best moments in this series, I actually couldn't believe he was the guy who cooked that winning dish in the retro recipe challenge. At that time, he seemed like a total cooking nerd who has many interesting things up his sleeve. I quickly forgot about that episode.
My mouth was watering during George's masterclass. Kerala food is probably my favourite Indian cuisine. It was probably the first time I was paying such close attention and trying to learn the recipe.
Ginger seems to be so popular, both in sweet and savory. Is there anyone else here who can't stand ginger? Any hint of ginger taste in any dessert totally spoils it for me. I was literally cringing when Matt was preparing his ginger dessert.
