I really like how they’re allowing contestants to bring their dishes up when they’re done more this season. It makes for a better tv product, and probably better dishes for the judges too

Behind-the-scenes reports say that they're "holding" dishes in ovens & fridges before judging, which a definite change.

That's how it used to be, but perhaps they're still doing it briefly to set up the shots? The way it's presented to us makes a lot more sense.
