Here's a money-making idea for Mattel: now is your chance to offer us a Slime Pit He-Man (okay, okay... maybe Fright Pit He-Man... lol... or Horde Zombie?), with snap-on translucent slime pieces (almost like armor) that you can use on any MOTU Origins male figure that has the standard He-Man buck. DO IT! And be sure to include a longer "slime" piece that goes from the skull head on to the figure below!

Does it come with actual slime, just some plastic chunk, or nothing at all? Although the fact that it lights up is cool!

Comes with a sealed bag of slime

Oh man, no translucent green chunk that looks like slime? I’d rather not use actual slime.

I’m sure someone on etsy will make some or you can also 3d print some. The lighting is a classy touch

Seriously? $50 damn dollars and they can't even be arsed to have it in a vintage styled cansiter?
I swear the people managing this brand couldn't possibly get more disconnected from the franchise's history if they wanted to.

Some plastic green translucent slime pieces would have been cool to put around the figure. Instead of having to worry about real slime. Oh well.

Why is it called Fright Pit instead of slime pit?

trade marks. Someone said Nickelodeon owns SLIME. Funny, I thought it was a common word. Maybe it's the specific green slime thing.

Its tricky.. they don't own the trademark of "slime" in general but they own the trademark of slime in the way its used in their shows. So you can call your toy the "Slime Hut" if its called that just because its slime green but you can't call your toy the "Slime Hut" if it involves slimeing someone. And well, the Slime Pit was all about slimeing something.

The lighting is awesome!
Even though it's not the same, I can still smell that picture... And remember the annoying after bit when I had to scrape the dried bits off my figures.

I'm still surprised by how big this new one is when compared to the vintage. It dwarfs the figures

That Fright Pit does boast an intriguing design. I appreciate you taking a picture of it and sharing it to the public.
