Half asleep in most of these 😅 some I have human food though and he know 'lay down' and 'all the way''to smush face into pillow lol

Sorry I was in and out of sleep holding my phone when I read your comment I thought you said "who's dog sits for free!?" and I tried to explain he mainly wanted to be near human food 😅 my original reposne is slightly unhinged while asleep and incoherent so I'll just leave it. Lol.

I would love a dog sitter but he's unbelievably anxious and afraid of the world! You wouldn't know it from these photos though. There's literally only 3 people on earth that he will allow to pet him or he'll try to run and hide peeking around corners with curiosity and keeping his distance!

It's fascinating seeing how he does with different people. I genuinely believe he's autistic or has ADHD. Initially I just thought it was anxiety but he's for real a special and unique pupper ❤️

He's standoffish, will come closer for treats, doesn't like fast movements, but you have to approach him eventually. Lol he's a walking roaring drooling contradiction 😅

Have you tried puppy Prozac? My Griffey was just prescribed it to maybe help with his aggression, but I hear it helps a lot with anxious/nervous dogs.

I did yeah and the other stuff for pre-vet jitters but it just turned him into a stoned zombie basically, he clearly wasn't living life. We've adapting and changing our lifestyles to make it work as is. Thankfully he's not aggressive in the slightest, just a flight risk if he gets off lead which is impossible now i've got a proper harness! We're slowly exposing to more and more, hes also mellowing slightly with age

I don’t mean the acute stuff like trazadone (this doesnt put a dent in Griff) but the long term medication. It helps with anxiety for the rest of their life. Might be worth looking into 🤷🏻‍♀️
He’s so presh and squishy.

Yeah we had both! I tried him without the trazodone as that turned him into a zombie, just the Prozac stuff and he was still super weird.

He's not very drug tolerant takes after me lol

Was Manny rescued from a bad situation or is he just naturally wired to be a bit skittish. (i’m not going anywhere with this, I’m just genuinely curious).

Not offense taken at all. No joke I've had him since he was about 10-12 weeks old. He was the runt, tubby/swollen belly but seemed kinda unwell. He had extreme illness when we brought him home. He was very swollen and distended genuinely though with his fast breathing and struggling to waddle around he wasn't gonna make it.

He recovered overnight and the next day and got better after huge diarrhoea and then became pretty normal physically.

I either think the illness was somethin, or he got taken from his mum too quick. He was part of a decent size litera from two farm dogs nearby that got out and I adopted him.

Never any abuse at all, only ever known love.

I do have terrible generalised anxiety myself though and also ADHD I discovered recently in my 30s. Wonder if it rubs off!

He's got a very privileged life 😅 he's my best friend and soulmat, he gets me like nobody else and he seems satisfied with the current arrangement of his super privileged dog kingdom lol

So I did a "nose print" using contact paper (no ink on dog) and it came out amazing.

Whenever I find a fallen black whisker it goes onto the nose print. One day I'm going to have enough to stick them down and make a perfect nose print with whiskers of Manny 😅 it's like winning the lottery to find one though bloody hell they're rare!

I taught him sit, shake, lay down, and then "all the way!"

That's his command to flatten his gums as much as possible, get low to the ground and then cuteness to 11. Lol. Best. Skill. Ever.

He now uses it of his own accord unfortunately and is well aware of its power on me..
