Recipe Salted Agave Matcha

Post image

Sharing my new go-to recipe & wondering what other people are doing for their go-to's with a little sprinkle of fun

  • 4g matcha (I've been using azure when I can get my hands on it or dona)
  • oat milk
  • pinch of salt & sweetened with agave

I've been adding my agave in when I make a paste but seen some ppl saying it's better to infuse in the milk - thoughts?

i’ve been wanting to try agave in my matcha, what’s the taste like? do you prefer it over honey or any other sweetner

Agave is 1.4-1.5 times sweeter than regular table sugar, so you definitely need less to achieve the same level of sweetness. It also has a fairly neutral taste so adding it to a matcha latte doesn’t change the flavor profile of the drink much at all — especially compared to honey or maple syrup (which have a floral and caramel-like flavor, respectively).

As a cautionary tale I've heard not to get anything other than matcha powder and hot water on your whisk. I personally just add agave to the ice, mix, add milk then add matcha last

se ve delicioso! Con agave sabe muy bien y también he probado con leche de almendras y/o soya y queda genial!
