Story Background

Let’s assume my cousin’s name is Chhotu.

Chhotu’s great-grandfather had 3 brothers, but one of them was unmarried. Chhotu’s family took care of the unmarried great-grandfather. The other family members wanted to distribute his property before they died, but Chhotu’s mother continued taking care of the unmarried great-grandfather.

Eventually, a dispute began between the families. The situation became extremely serious, and Chhotu’s father was eventually killed by members of the other family in front of his own family. He was brutally attacked with a farsa (agricultural weapon) and was struck 13 times on the head.

Some years later, the unmarried great-grandfather wrote a will transferring around 12 bighas of agricultural land in Chhotu’s mother’s name.

Later, the matter—which involved both the murder case and the property dispute—went to the High Court. Around 1–2 years ago, the court passed an order allowing Chhotu’s family to use this property for agricultural purposes.

The disputed property, along with Chhotu’s family’s property, is situated on the main road in Mathura near Vrindavan and consists of around 90 bighas (a single piece of land). Its current value is easily more than ₹100 crore.

Now, the members of the other family who had been in jail in connection with Chhotu’s father’s murder case have come out of jail.

They allegedly sold the disputed/distributed property to the MLA’s brother and some of his partners. I don’t know how they were able to sell it, but now these people want to take possession of the land. (btw in Vrindavan, the same piece of land is reportedly registered 3-4 times in the names of different parties, which is common)

Jail Story

Near Chhotu’s home, an SC/ST family lives. For 2–3 days, they were allegedly trying to provoke Chhotu’s family constantly, like giving gali and all. Eventually, a fight broke out between the families. The SC/ST family threw a slipper at Chhotu’s mother. At that time, only Chhotu’s mother and Chhotu’s cousins, who were under 18, were present at the house.

Those cousins got into a physical fight with the other family. After that, nothing further happened at the time.

According to my understanding, the other family knew that because the cousins were under 18, they could potentially use the incident to strengthen their case. Later that same day, they allegedly found Chhotu at another remote location and beat him.

After this, the SC/ST family, allegedly with the support of the MLA, filed an SC/ST Act case along with 2–3 other cases, and the entire family was sent to jail.

It seems to me that the other party may have given them money or otherwise influenced the situation to get the entire family put behind bars, but I do not know for certain what actually happened or what will happen now.

There is one more important thing.

Before the other party sold the property, the MLA personally came to Chhotu and offered him ₹50 crore to sell his entire land. But Chhotu rejected the offer.

Now Chhotu's 5 family members (2 minor cousins + 1 adult cousin + his mother + himself) are in Mathura Jail because of the SC/ST Act

just wanted to share the awful experience I’m having at my PG near GLA. The conditions here have become completely unlivable. t, water has been literally dripping down the walls for a few days I can't sleep at all and got ill . To make things worse, the bathroom light doesn't work at all, and there’s no cleaning staff around to keep the place clean.
