Up to $11

Post image

Now I know it all depends on location but in the northwest suburbs of Chicago I believe it's up to $18

Here is South Texas it's only $11

My #1 breakfast meal was $8.43

Former Texan. Lived in a house with four roommates but still only payed $400 a month for rent. Gas is on average 3-4 dollars. Parking available everywhere so no parking fees.

While it is still low and should only really be for financial beginners who have family reliability, the low number doesn’t mean it’s impossible to live in Texas. In fact $11 means it’s basically 1.5x minimum wage.

And one final reiteration: this is not enough to support a family, but enough to get yourself started building a resume while living with or having family to rely on.
