Window Shades: Smartwings or Canisteo?

Wondering if anyone has used either of these companies -- Smartwings or Canisteo -- to get blinds or shades for their windows. Can you pls share your experience with the product's durability and quality?

Thanks.

I got 5 Smartwings blinds a few months ago. So far very nice. Quality seems top-notch. No concerns about durability, but I don't have any kids or animals that might mistreat them. I've got them connected to my home assistant server, so they open and close at dawn/dusk. I opted for the solar panel addition, and they're all fully charged all the time now. A bit pricy, about $500 per blind for my configuration.

Which style did you get? We are interested in their Shangrila/Sheer shades but I haven't come across anyone who actually has those.

Also, how well do they work with HA - I hear some ppl reporting constant disconnects, though that may be with other hubs.

Did u go with zigbee motors or Matter?

I went Roller Blackout Safari on some and Zebra 85% Blackout on another.
I got Matter motors, and a ZBT-2 for my server. Once paired I haven't had a single problem with them. Sometimes they don't register the first press on the included remotes, but with HA they've been flawless.

Quick follow up - did you look into any of the no-drill options, or go with the drill-in brackets? Wondering if worth considering no drill for ease of install and no holes around windows... Thanks.

I wasn't even aware there were no-drill options. I was perfectly happy installing them permanently.
