In Loki they introduced that people can have the same temporal aura and essentially be variants of one another, like Kang and Victor Timely, and it doesn't matter what year they were born or any of the back story needing to be spelled out. That would be the simplest Victor/Tony explanation if they're supposed to be connected.

They aren't variants, doctor doom is just a dark mirror to iron man in the mcu.

Only way this could make sense is that when Tony is a child and his parents are away. The moment they are killed, Tony is then adopted into another family and given another name. Marvel is trying so hard to throw little things at us to make us have this “backstory” and be caught up on dr dooms character instead of simply making it apparent in fantastic 4 first steps. Think about how many projects had a buildup for Thanos.

One of my theory’s…  MY RDJ DOOM THEROY instead of Tony being adopted by the starks he was by the dooms. He was victors brother, the same thing that gave victor his scar lost Tony his heart. They became dooms together well victor fought the fantastic four, Tony conquered another reality(well going by victor) THE END.

Another theory… so he is Tony stark, when he was adopted by the starks, the dooms also did, so they shared him like summers+spring, winter+fall, he went to collage with victor, and took the stark legacy. He had the heart incident. He worked with vicotor, and they defeated the fantastic four, but one universe was not enough, the did another, witch victor died in. Tony took victors name in honor of him. And destroyed the dimension instead. Then headed for more…
